We used Red Carpet Moving for a small move from temporary housing to our new home, south bay to east bay. Three movers showed up on time, disassembled our furniture that needed disassembling, loaded the truck, and re-assembled at the new home, which was exactly what we had asked them to do. We did not have anything fragile, and no TV, so it was fairly straightforward. Scheduling the move was easy, and when we needed to push out our move date by a couple weeks, the company was happy to accommodate. I found their pricing to be in line with other companies in the bay area, and appreciated their 3 hour minimum vs other companies that required 4. Thank you to the Red Carpet team.

Are not professionally trained. Did not have a temp controlled wood crate for my $3,000 TV. Tried to lay it flat and wrapped in shrink wrap until I stopped them. Made a scratch on my brand new drive way with the ramp from the truck. Paid $700 for nothing.....would never use them again!

The guys that came out to move us were really nice and professional. ..I just felt we were over charged. The move it self took 7 1/2 hours, but then we got hit with a 1 1/2 drive time charge ($225.00), which I think was a little excessive.

Very unsatisfied. Sal came out to give an on-site estimate. I went with the "not more than" guaranteed amount. There were four inexperienced movers who came. I have nice Heredon and Stickley furniture which was scratched into the surface, my T.V. armoire was upside down on the cement! An antique Korean coin chest had a broken leg and when I left the room THEY glued it getting yellow movers glue all over the leg. An antique three-section room divider was dis-assembled and one section was used as a table- it broke in half. Now I have the hassle of repair and claims. I did take photos!!! Nice guys but don't know anything about moving furniture. I would liken their moving to drop-kicking a raw egg.

I was very satisfied with Red Carpet Movers. From the very get-go I talked with the front desk person about the difficult access to our house and he brought up Google Maps Street view and was able to see the situation and document that for the driver and assure me that the truck would have no problem. Dispatch called 3 days ahead to confirm the move and again the day before for any last minute updates and confirmation. The movers were excellent. They wrapped all furniture in pads and pallet wrap. They were professional movers and knew what they were doing. I would hire Red Carpet again in a heartbeat. I am real person, who just completed a real move and am really happy with Red Carpet. Thank you!

While the crew showed up on time and worked quickly and efficiently, there were a few annoyances that I found frustrating and thus cannot give the experience 5 stars. First, the one item I was extremely concerned about was the one item they mucked up in the move, and I needed to replace some parts. Also, they didn't screw the bed planks back into the frame after moving. Several shelf support pegs were missing, so I had to replace them in order to put my bookshelves back together properly; and finally, I had to replace a couple of file folder bars that were mysteriously missing. These types of annoyances may seem minor, but when one is paying a lot of money ($300+ over estimate) to have a bit of piece of mind, the annoyances intensify. Hopefully, I won't have to move again for a very long time, and when I do, I will be sure to talk to several movers before making a decision.

I needed to move a Queen-sized bed and BBQ from Walnut Creek to Livermore quickly. They were able to schedule me within 24-hours and while they loaded up the bed I asked if they could also move a table and chairs as well, they did so with no extra cost. They charged me for minimum 2-hour move and were in and out in only 1 1/2 hours, they were professional and wrapped up everything well to prevent any damage. They arrived early and were done quickly, I will definitely use them again.
