Riley did a great job in locating little problems that had not been fixed by other vendors from the past. His knowledge of the unit was first class. He made a recommendation to change my filters from 2 to 1 by changing the type of filter to increase air flow which should make the unit run more effectively. I can't say enough how happy I am that I found a first class technician for my heating and air conditioning unit.

This guy does business like it should be done! Honest, fair and professional. My AC quit working and I called several companies and most wouldn't even come out for 1 to 2 days and it was very hot and uncomfortable in the house. I did get one other company to finally come over and they said I needed to replace the condenser, at a very expensive price, would have to order the part and then tried to upsell me a whole new unit at over $6K. I told him I would think about it and called Red Rock. He came over that day, found the same problem, fixed it on the spot for a fraction of the cost of a new part and didn't even try to upsell me. He is now my "go to" guy for this kind of work....I highly recommend Red Rock Refrigeration!

Didin't realize how long it had been since last checkup - have a 2-story new build that was going on 3 years old. My 2nd unit wasn't cooling the upstairs and quickly hit HomeAdvisor. They had plucked Riley out with Red Rock. By the time I had received my update that he was one of the many providers Riley had reached out to me seeking a time to review. Looking at the first scenario I asked him to come out after understanding what his costs were for what I thought would be an initial assessment and service checkup. We settled on a Wed but asked if anything came up sooner to let me know. We live in Arizona and temps are looking into the 90's by late this week. Riley called me Monday afternoon and said he was done with a job close by and asked if I would like to see him sooner. He came over and quickly assessed the units externally. He saw that my 2nd unit's motor wasn't working. After talking about it for a few minutes I quickly understood that I was looking at some cost. However, 30min later he quickly shared that the motor was still under warranty and I'd only be liable for the labor. I welcomed his honesty and said - let's move forward. He had to go to a parts store for the motor which was 20min away and quickly returned to finish the repair. He then came into the house to check the attic and put a temp gauge in a few vents to check the cooling. Very thorough here and refreshing to see. In the end - affordable, honest, and trustworthy not to mention thorough. Very knowledgeable and a great resource to have in your homeowner contractor list. I'd recommend Riley to anyone...

We moved into a new build by Mattamy homes in Marley park, Surprise in August of 2016. We had AC cooling issues since day 1 of moving in. We had United Heating and Cooling come more than 8 times to try and fix this issue since then. They chose to exchange coil several times as it was under warranty and fill up with R-410 thinking it was the source of the problem. 3 years down the road it did not solve the issue indicating there was a leak in 1 of several line sets in the Attic from coil to thru the walls and down to AC unit outside. Total nightmare! Mattamy dont want to reimburse for what Ive spent thus far and has been painful and stressful to deal with regarding the warranty threshold. They said it was past the 2 year mark even though we've been trying to fix this same issue since the beginning when moved in home and well under the Mattamy home warranty guidelines! This was going to be real expensive to try and find this leak and getting prepared for the worst in breaking through walls and stucco to find this leak in line sets! Meaning finding and hire another decent contractor to do that part while Riley @ RedRock focuses on finding the leak and repairing. Well, let me tell you this! Because of Riley from Red Rocks professionalism, hard work and perseverance to do great, hard and honest work, I didnt have to go that route in finding another GC for knocking down walls, stucco etc and break the bank. After he had prepped the lines with Nitrogen and verifying a significant drop in pressure, He confirmed there was indeed a leak in the line set between coil and AC unit outside. So fast forward- Riley said to me he would look and try to find the leak in line set that he could access before it gets tight in space and drops into the wall to go outside to unit. This is in the attic where its 120 degrees with a couple feet of crawl space and Riley is 6ft 2' and not a small guy! With his determination and skill, and about 10 Ft down the line set from coil, Riley found the culprit that was causing the slow leak! Original line set was not long enough, so original installers welded on additional line set but never used proper fitting, they used a short radius 3/8 inch 90 degree elbow where the leak is at, results of poor judgement, using incorrect fitting and poor workmanship on the welds on fitting for sure by previous installers (which is why they are no longer around!) Riley fixed this issue correctly and in good time, he even went out the way to replace another copper pipe and fitting that was a hack job and mickey moused from wall to AC unit that was done from original company installers, they used all incorrect fittings and different size copper tubing in which they crimped with pliers and welded! Really!? He also replaced the refrigerant filter dryer in between the lines and told me they were never changed when the previous company came out and made repairs to try and fix the system. He said that, filter should always and supposed to be changed when working on the AC system with adding refrigerant or parts. Again the previous company didnt do any of that and never found the original leak and are long gone out of business in AZ! I am so happy thus far with the whole experience from Red Rock Refridgeration, Heating and Cooling! Im fortunate and lucky to have found and chose a stand up business, person who is very passionate about their company, job and what they do to get the job done clean, correctly, efficient, fast and at very fair price. And very honest (hard to find these days!) Riley went above and beyond extra miles! His business motto and slogan is the truth and fits him/his company well! From here on out, I will be using Red Rock as long as Im here in the Phx Valley and I will recommend him to my family and friends! Thank you Red Rock Refridgeration!

Riley arrived the same day I asked for contact. He repaired the A/C and did not try to sell us a new unit even though I told him another contractor said we needed one. He stayed to make sure it was working and found another problem which he promptly repaired as well. I will call him when I need a new A/C.

Riley was not only able to schedule our ac repair within a few hours of contact, he stopped on his way to pick up parts for what he thought might be the problem. I also overheard phone conversations he had with other customers and he was very professional and accommodating. Red Rock Refrigeration will definitely be my go to for future HVAC needs.
