He was very honest and he recommended doing something that would cost less than what I thought was needed.

He did not do what he said he was going to do. He did not following instructions and got my house dirty. Would not inspect chimney from roof.

I wouldn't hire his handyman for nothing but general yard work.

He did good work, however, he quoted me $90 for the service call but the final bill was $715 to just clean vent and hook up new washer & dryer. My mistake not getting a full quote ahead of time but I never imagined it would cost this much.

We got a call to let us know Brett was on his way, on time. He was very thorough with the installation of our dryer and washer. He stuck around to make sure their was no gas leakage and that everything ran correctly. He is friendly and informational.

Brett was on time and flexible. He did a good job cleaning the vent and also suggested few things that we should do to maintain the duct clean as much as possible. I would recommend hiring him.

I hired Red Wing Handyman to clean the gutters on my 700 SF one-story house. The quality of work was fine, he was very prompt and friendly, but I feel I was over charged. I made an appointment to get a cost estimate but when he arrived, he made a vague assurance that he would "give me a good price" and I foolishly agreed to let him proceed with the work. It's my own fault that I didn't insist on getting an exact quote in dollars so I grudgingly paid more than $300 for a VERY small job that took him less than an hour. When I asked him about doing another job for me, he gave me the same vague assurance that he'd give me a good price and went on to say that he bases the cost on how he feels and how nice a car I drive (seriously, he said that - I took it as a joke but didn't find it a bit funny). I'm not taking a chance on such a vague fee structure and will not hire him again. Instead I will find someone who can tell me up front how much they charge for a particular job and what they base the fee on.

Every time I use Red Wing Handyman Service they do a great job. Bret is very prompt and professional. I will use them again for future projects.

I told him over the phone that I wanted my fireplace cleaned and my chimney inspected and that the fireplace , although 30 years old, had had only a few fires in it. He told me that the most it would be would be 230.00 which I assumed would be a thorough cleaning and inspection. He came promptly, walked in in ash-cover clothing, not offering to cover his feet. He went up on the roof, inspected the chimney and one more vent I asked him to look at. He returned in less than 10 minutes, said everything looked good and sat down to write his bill. He handed me a bill for 260.00 ( he added a 60.00 surcharge for the distance he travelled, I assume ,as he had not mentioned this before). I asked him if he was going to clean out the fireplace now, and he said "no, you don't want to clean out the fireplace because you need the ash in the bottom. The screen and around the opening was covered in dirt and ash. I asked him a few more questions about starting fires and he left. Max time he was here was 30 minutes. I was so angry with myself that I did not challenge him about the bill. I believe he took advantage of me. A service charge for coming would have been much more appropriate as he did nothing. No, I would never recommend him.
