They were very personable and did the job as they said they would and finished earlier than projected. They did an awesome job. I was very pleased!

I ordered a set of stair rails and wanted custom details. Tyrone is an artist and was very involved in choosing the style and creating custom rails with a design cut into each rail section. At first we were going to have them painted, which he did beautifully, but then I decided that I wanted them powder coated. He took them over to be powder coated and picked them up and delivered and installed them. He did not charge extra to run them over to the powder coating shop, and installed them promptly. They are beautiful and the workmanship is excellent. He communicates constantly during the project and wants to make sure that I am happy with the rails . I highly recommend Redd. Dog welding for repairs or construction of new projects.

I initially found Tyrone to be prompt and displaying a strong work ethic. When we met, we were evaluating repairing or replacing an existing second-floor steel railing. He provided us with quotes. Due to the recent COVID-19 shutdown, we opted for the less expensive option and started planning and budgeting for the full replacement in a couple of months once we had the capital to do it. We scheduled the repair and upon confirmation the night before he changed the price. I reached out first thing in the morning (the day of the expected repair) to discuss and understand why the significant increase, and he said he wouldnâ t honor his original quote. The new number was a 47% increase over the initial agreed quote. I felt as though we were being shaken down at the last minute, knowing that we needed it done that day. Reluctantly, I agreed to the new number because I was in a scheduling catastrophe that would impact my reopening date. Next, he told me he wanted to be paid for the entire amount before he would even show up. I felt very uncomfortable in this demand knowing full and well that once I sent payment, the possibility of him skipping out was high. I already lost trust in his integrity, honesty, and his word. I hate writing negative reviews because Iâ m a business owner myself and recognize and understand the negative impact it can have. However, I feel compelled to share my experience with others because, in this area, itâ s difficult to find contractors and service professionals who provide high-quality work for a reasonable rate, and this type of bait and switch tactic is wrong and unethical. I would proceed with caution if you do use this company. Iâ ve been in and around the real estate/building business for over 15 years and have never paid a vendor in full prior to work being performed and by cash. In my profession, I would never advise my clients to do it regardless of the savings or struggleâ the risk of losing it just too high. Ultimately, I decided to go with my gut and practice what I preach and canceled the repair and had to scurry at the last minute to replace this vendor. I would love to have had the opportunity to provide a raving review of Red Dog Welding, but I canâ t based on this interaction. I may try again in the future, but I would weigh my options before contacting this vendor. I would seek additional quotes and never pay someone in advance without the ability to stop payment or dispute services. It is just a smart thing to do.

Tyrone is a great guy who does great work, does what he says he s going to do and does it well. He s a true craftsman and that s hard to find these days. Can t recommend him enough.
