Reedy River Landscapes

Spent ~$1,800 on a design. The result looks like they spent 20 min on it in Microsoft Word. And, quoted me $90,000 on the front yard of a $300,000 house. They could not have missed the mark (both in budget and design) by a wider margin if they tried.

Parts of the job turned out nice. Other parts not so much. The new flowerbeds that were added, mulch was just thrown over the grass. The grass was not removed or either some type of barrier cloth put down to block all of the grass growing back through. The grass is growing through after one week. I m trying to use round up to kill it but still looks very unprofessional. I m probably going to remove the mulch and put a cloth barrier down myself.

1 of the De Groot arborvitae was dying from the inside out, as soon as it was planted. Luke said to give it time, it will be fine. No, it isn’t! And now, the second De Groot is dying! Never a true statement was made, after you write them a check, they disappear. I wouldn’t recommend them to ANYONE!

I found Luke to be very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. His crew did a fantastic job with what I wanted; patio extension with Dry Laid Flagstone, 8’ Crape Myrtle, and several Carolina Sapphire Cypress for a fence line. Final project turned out great. Overall, top notch…

It was very easy to communicate with Luke. Josh did an excellent job. They respond immediately to concerns I had. Plus their value is outstanding. Overall, a top notch operation!!

Once the check is cashed, the service stops! In April I contacted Luke regarding installing fescue sod in my front yard. He and his team had remarkable customer service at the beginning. They were super responsive to email, phone calls, and were very friendly on the work site. However, once the job was complete; the customer service went as downhill as my sod did. 4-5 weeks after install, patches of the sod began to die. I was following the watering instructions the team gave me to the letter. When I asked questions via email, there would be 1-2 days before a response that offered little more than "I don't know what is going on". There were no solutions offered other than to install new sod over the dead patch (which they did not cover the cost of). Another 2-3 weeks go by and new parts of the yard begin dying. At this point, the emails are taking 3-4 days for a reply and I am the one seeking solutions, while none are being offered. I turned to a turf management company for answers. Turns out a fungus was killing my lawn. I had zero fungus problems prior to the sod being installed; the product that was installed brought a fungus onto my property. The turf management company did 2 rounds of fungicide, but it was too late. 80% of the lawn is now dead and the response from Luke and his team, "Well, it's a living organism, I don't know what to tell you." Absolute waste of $4,500. Had they offered ANY solution at no cost to me or seemed to stand by their work whatsoever I would have used them to put sod in my backyard as well as used them to install an irrigation system. If you do use them for a project, get a contract.

Luke installed a beautiful stone patio at my townhome along with the perfect flowering plants - with his design, he turned a totally awful space into a lovely backyard getaway.

Luke and Charlene know their business. Gave a quality landscape design that I can use! Loved it! Luke was also willing to help tweak the design if I wanted but I loved it the way it was. Great customer service and very prompt with return phone calls.

Reedy River Landscapes is a wonderful company to work with. Luke and his crew are so good at what they do and have taken both of my projects from average to above and beyond. They created what could have been just a regular, functional dry creek bed and turned it into a beautiful landscape feature.Their communication and dependability is stellar. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a job done well.

I had a problem with water standing in my yard and under my deck. As a result, I couldn't get grass to grow in that area. Reedy River Landscapes installed topsoil and sod in my backyard. The topsoil was spread in a manner to prevent water from going under my deck and have it flow out of the backyard. The sod was then put in place. I also had them put a stone wall along a steep hill next to my fence and mulch border around the whole yard and deck. The sod, wall and border all turned out great. Luke was very professional and easy to work with. Because of my schedule, I had to cancel on him twice. He was very patient and understanding and adjusted his schedule without any problem. Also, about a few weeks after the sod was installed, I noticed a small section that wasn't as green as the others. I took a photo and texted to Luke and asked what I should do. His response: I'll come by and replace it. Now that's service! I purposely waited two months before writing this review to make sure the sod still looked good. It does and I am very pleased with how everything turned out. I plan to use them again for a front yard project later this Fall as well. I highly recommend Reedy River Landscapes.
