"Hello Sir, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. However, I would like to remind you that upon our initial service call our technician had informed you that your old unit was in rather poor condition. We showed you the evaporator coil was completely blocked. This caused greatly reduced air flow. This most certainly can cause a unit to ice up. We run into this situation every day. When we continued our examination of your unit in our shop, we found the blower wheel was defective causing a very noticeable noise. We called to advise you that this was a problem. You told us not to worry about this, and just proceed with the cleaning. We completed the pressure cleaning quickly to accommodate your request to get the unit back on Friday. When doing repairs on an old unit in a deteriorated condition there is a risk that something else could possibly go wrong. Maybe we should have insisted that the unit be replaced, but many times the unit can last a good long while even in a ?poor condition?. It is true we are closed over the weekend. When Coleen called you on Monday morning as you mentioned, you were told we **can pick up the unit and see what happened**. You told her that you had already replaced the unit. I wish that you would have allowed us an opportunity to honor our guarantee of workmanship. At the very least, we would have applied the $250.00 towards a new unit. For more than 60 years the Reeve family has had a goal of providing prompt and reliable service, equipment, and parts at a fair price. I am sorry that you are disappointed, and I am sorry we didn't have an opportunity to correct a deficiency."
