He took money from me and didnt do the job. I have now had to hire a lawyer to get my money back from him.

I urge people NOT to use Reichenbach Construction. I signed on with them 7-20-08, it is 1-8-09 and the house is only 1/3 completed. I paid $67,000 to remodel my home. The house is boarded up & cold. We are living in 2 rooms without flooring insulation. John ripped up the old subflooring & never insulated it. He removed a wood stove & left the chimney wide open. I had to pay a chimney sweep company to fix this. John is rarely on the job & pays little attention to details. My project has "officially" ended with Reichenbach Construction. I get no phone calls returned. John runs a poorly-organized company. No contract was issued to me!

Although this contractor initially seemed capable to do projects (ie garage doors, gutters and new bedroom) at a reasonable price, they proved to be unorganized and at times unprofessional. Project management was very poor and communication even worse - nearly all calls to manager regarding important issues were not even returned. This company needs to provide better customer service and attention to to detail. I have ceased using them after my letter and two phone calls went unanswered.

We cannot recommend this contractor to anyone. We entered into a contract in May 2008 to add a Master Bedroom and Bath to our home. The work came to an "official" end in September 08. With our final payment, there was a promise from this builder to return and repair a few misc items. The misc items were NEVER addressed - all we got were empty and broken promises to do so. In addition, at the start of heating season, we had to pay a natural gas expert to trouble-shoot & determine that our fireplace was improperly vented. Additional promises to also repair this fireplace were NOT honored. Avoid this company and its' ill-prepared staff!

John Reichenbach is very good at problem solving for older homes. His ideas and his skills were excellent. However he was on the site very little and his workers made many errors that John very willingly corrected but this did delay the job somewhat. His crew was pleasent and respectful of our wishes. We did not distrust them in our home without us. The final result is even better than what we expected with John doing the final touches and some nice extra additions. We would use this company again but ask for better supervision and communications with us.

John R is a good guy and tries to do a very good job. I rate his work and the work of his framer Ray very highly. This a great company with honest guys.

I made my payments as agreed but he stopped showing up about 2/3rds through the job and never finished it. I called several times to speak with him and always got voice mail and the calls went unanswered. I finally gave up and and finished the job through other means. I would never recommend this person to anyone.
