Basement - Remodel
We had an egress window installed in our basement. The job entailed removing a portion of the driveway, digging down to the drain tile of the house and cutting a portion of the foundation wall of the basement. The window, window well, and all reinforcements were installed. Finishing work was completed on the outside of the house including trim around the window and cement around the driveway. The work completed by Rick and the guys from RV was good, and the window looks great. The job completion took much longer than expected (several months) and they worked in phases. But, there was very little communication on the part of RV, everything was initiated by me. Sometimes responses were weeks apart. Once the job was finished, a slight leak was noticed, and Rick came out immediately to assess the leak. He said that it would be fixed. But, this again took a lot of time to do, and I had to continually call to find out when they would be out the next time. The quality of the work was good, but the lack of communication really reduced my overall assessment of the job. The job was completed at budget and Rick was always very friendly and courteous. RV did clean, they had all the materials removed in a dumpster, but they used our brooms and mops.
