Everything turned out great.

Work was completed and all is good so far. Hard to tell on a roof. Took some extra effort with phone calls and scheduling.

We had a deck and hot tub tore down, and had a master suite bathroom addition put in its place. OMG, Renaissance Restorations is the best, they work hard, good quality work, the transformation is phenomenal!

I hired this company to conduct repairs on a clay barrel tile roof on an historic house. First, the roof consists of several levels: (1) wood rafters; (2) plywood sheeting; (3) winter guard overlay; (4) wood supports for the tiles and then (5) the tiles. Instead of replacing the rotten plywood, his company covered the rotten wood with the winter guard - essentially a paper membrane. After a bit of time, the paper erroded and the water came back into my house. Had the plywood been replaced as it should have I would not have had the problems that I did and my ornate plaster work would not have suffered. Literally there were HOLES in the roof where they simply covered up the plywood with paper. Next, they NAILED the tiles in place. Clay tiles such as mine are simply placed on the rafter. They interlink with each other and stay down. When winter came, the tiles all cracked with the expansion with the screws. Also, the nail holes allowed water into the roof as well. Finally, they concreted the tiles down. Again, this resulted in broken tiles when the winter months came. They had no idea of how these roofs work and how to repair damage to them. They cost me thousands in repair work and in having other contractors repair the damage.

As a near total-loss insurance claim it was difficult for us to imagine how well it was going to turn out when the work began, let alone while working within the constraints of the insurance settlement. However, the results of the restoration were stunning, and we have had many, many compliments on the work (particularly from the insurance adjustor!) that updated the historic home interior to a highly functional modern home while retaining its original charm. The advice in the renovations was especially useful by recognizing current trends in space management and using this knowledge to tweak the interior to give it a fresh but mature feel. This combined the best of both worlds, which is difficult to achieve in any circumstance. We had an offer on the house within one week of the restoration being finished. Jamie did a great job!

Renaissance was on time on schedule. Buying a new roof is (to me) is the most unsatisfying purchase you can make. Knowing that, it seems difficult to put that kind of money in somebody's hand who you don't know, and really can't even see the work being performed. However, it seems that Renaissance Restorations did a good job and performed the job well, although only time will tell! We did have a pretty heavy downpour of rain after the roof was installed, so everything seems to be well, no leaks. I liked the fact that their quote included any replacement of roofing boards, so that their were no loopholes for them to charge anymore money after the project had started. Let's face it, one of biggest fears of having a job like this done is "how much more can they charge when your left without choices, cause the roof is now exposed to the elements". So not having that as an issue is less worrying. My only complaint and the reason for the 4 stars in customer service category is the quote included 6' of ice shield and they had started to only put down 3'. When my wife noticed it, she brought it to their attention and the installers stated they didn't know that, but that it was no problem. So, when they went to lay down the 2nd roll, they ran out of material. They brought more back the next day and finished the 6'. I know that code only calls for 3', but again, the quote was for 6'. Probably an innocent mistake or miscommunication, no real big deal, but something I wanted to note. I did get call from someone asking for a reference and I did recommend Renaissance due to their upfront pricing and BBB and Home Advisor ratings. One last thing in regards to this type of business and the rating agencies...The nice thing about hiring someone that has such high ratings is that they understand how important their ratings and reviews are, after all that is why they got my job! Keep up the good work!

They did a great job! Our Church parsonage looks much more modern now and our congregation couldn't be happier with the job Jamie's crew did.
