Jamie and his team did an awful job on my roof. I paid a lot of money to have them replace my roof. Weeks later I had 3 different water leaks. I have called Jamie several times over a the past year and he rarely answers. When he does, he claims he will send someone out and never does. He also at one point claimed he can not help me because he filed bankruptcy. I had 2 other independent roofers come out to look at his work and both said it is the worst work they have seen in their careers. Now, I will pay another roofer to fix the work that Jamies team did incorrectly because I cannot get Jamie to come out to fix it. Avoid this company at all costs.

Hired them in Sept 2021 to add on to my garage. Its April 14th and still not complete. Paid deposit and the poured the concrete floor in December. They were supposed to finish by end of winter per my conversation with Jamie. Jamie called and asked for money and I made the mistake and paid the 2nd payment of over $7,000. Nobody has showed up since. I keep calling and texting him and the few times he replied that he said there is a lumber shortage. Than gives me a start date and nobody shows up. I called him and He says that he is looking into what happened. Still no progress. His mailbox is full now and no word back.

Paid $25,000 as a down payment on 9/28/20 for addition to my home. As of 3/23/21, nothing has been built. Calls go unanswered! I believe the man has taken my money

I paid 100,000 dollars and they have not started any work and each time we call, we get a big attitude from Jaime. Today 2/8/2021 we called and he had a nasty attitude with my 74 year old mother. We told him we were going to hire a lawyer to see what is going on, and he said, ---Do what you have to do, if you can.

I wish I had read the reviews online before I hired Jamie Craig and Renaissance Restoration. Don't make the same mistake I did. We paid a $6,000 deposit on May 17th, 2020 to renovate a home office. It is now over 5 months later and no work has been done. Jamie is a pathological liar. He will say he called you when he didn't. He will pretend like conversations you had didn't happen. He will ignore specific dates youve set to start work. Then after 5 months of zero progress, he will hang up on you when you ask for a refund. We were return customers of Jamies and he took advantage of my wife and I and now has taken our $6,000 deposit. Do not hire this man or this company.

Jamie was always readily available to discuss any issues and was flexible and amenable to any changes.

I am so in love with my basement ! I had a full bathroom/laundry room/Kitchenette installed and remodeled and it is so beautiful!!! Renaissance Restorations exceeded my expectations and I look forward to working with them again. Special thanks to Jaime Craig ! I appreciate you !

Complete the project on budget

We are working with Renaissance Restoration, Inc and we are pretty happy with who we've chosen!

Historic kitchen renovation with new granite countertops, sink, plumbing, electrics, flooring, and repainting. All to code using required permits. Good work. On schedule.

The contractors arrived on time and worked thoughtfully to protect the landscaping from the roof debris. Attention to detail to assure the flashing matched the house trim on our historic home such that the street view from the side as well as from out from the windows overlooking the back yard looked clean and nice. NOTE: the torch down roof they replaced was a hideous mess of tar up and over the uneven flashing and jagged seams with bumps which caused standing water. A neat job was of upmost importance to us. Renaissance Restorations gets an A+ for a clean job we can be proud of.

He told me it would take 6-8 weeks back in March of 2019 and he has not finished anything, I paid for all material and he charged me double for. He did not square and level the house up, This was all due to me having cancer and needed my own bathroom and we are still waiting for my bathroom to be completed.

My wife and I renovated an abandoned Victorian home in Howell, MI with the help of Jamie, Jeri, and the Renaissance Restoration crews. They performed extensive work including roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, framing, plaster repair, wood floor repair/refinishing, exterior brick repair, kitchen remodel, and remodel of 2.5 bathrooms. Pretty much everything you can imagine. The project turned out great and we have been living in the home without any issues. Jamie and Jeri were always easy to get ahold of and responsive to our questions and concerns along the way. The project took a year or so given how extensive it was so we got to know each other very well. It is hard to find contractors to work on older homes and respect the character. It was a relief to find one and I would recommend them for any projects you have in mind. Mike S.

Workmanship is the best you ll find.

Jamie has been punctual, aware of my budget and helpful and honest.

Jamie the owner is never in site, his subcontractors are not there, don t care about quality and he doesn t oversee work. Issues: mold-flooding when tarp off and fell in with water, asked to clean up-didn t so we found mold. Chimney incorrectly flashed, shingles not trimmed or flashed correctly Leaks every time plumber left. HVAC not vented correctly-very high CO 2 in house, had to spend 2k to fix issues after they left. No access panel in ceiling upstairs. No hear registers in foyer at all, no return air register on main floor. No rough plumbing installed in kitchen initially. Siding and house wrap installed poorly, took out insulation where carpenter ants but then never added. Had to remove dry wall inside then add insulation. Wrong front door installed, architect had many errors, structural issue- Unlevel flooring on new second floor, had to go back and address after framing. Had to tear out tile and incorrect pan liner, tile installed very poorly. We still aren' t in our home, have sold our old home and have had to hire our own pros to complete job. I think it was easier for Jamie to walk away from the mess than help us finish, he said he has no workers left, we paid him up front too much and he wanted to make more money elsewhere instead of doing the right thing and hiring quality workers to complete our job. Do not hire!

We are very happy with our beautiful new master bedroom suite with full bathroom.

Had an issue with the new water lines freezing in extreme cold weather conditions. Had another plumber re-route the water lines to the new master bathroom. The contractor paid the additional expense of re-routing the water lines, as well as the repair to the drywall that was needed after the water lines were rerouted.

They get all the work permits

They show up as promised and they are staying ahead of our project timeline and the quality of their work is great. Great communication about what is next.

My wife and I had given up on having a new addition. Then we found Jamie Craig and Renaissance Restorations. A wonderful experience that was as painless as possible. We could not be happier with how the project went.
