Has not started the work and it has been a month since contract was signed.
Response by Restoration 1 Mid-Cities: Initial Inspection: Sep 12th, 2018, 10:00 AM Work Authorization Signed: Sep 18, 2018, 12:21 PM Adjuster contacted us to discuss scope: Sep 19, 2018, 3:21PM Adjuster contacted us to finalize scope: Oct 2, 2018, 10:42 AM Week of October 2-8: Initial Demolition and Cleaning We removed around 12x10 sqft of siding, tarped damaged window, removed laminate floor in living room, dining room, and hallway, as well as smoke damage cleaning of interior. The initial delay in work was due to the fact that the required scope of work to restore the home exceeded the insurance cap for the vehicle policy. We took the time to work with the adjuster to ensure the customer would not be charged anything that insurance would not cover. Further delay was caused because the customer selected a flooring material that she was unhappy with once it arrived at her home for installation. The material was selected by the customer on or about Oct 4, ordered on Oct 8, arrived Oct 18, and was to be installed today, Oct 23. This is when the customer became unhappy with how it looked and now left this review. I am sorry that we were unable to move quicker for the customer, but our intention was to save the customer stress from unnecessary out of pocket expenses. In fact, our scope of work exceeds the insurance allowance, but we agreed to waive the cost of deodorization for the client in order to keep her under $25,000. This was a very disappointing review to receive especially because we were in the middle of a project at the time we were accused of not starting.

I am writing this review as an apology to this company in my anger I gave a bad review, it was not them that I was angry with it was a different company. They really went out of there way to fix the problem caused by someone else. They worked around my schedule to complete the job. Yes I would recommend this company. Once again, I’m sorry to them for the bad review. I can admit when I’m wrong.

Not my favorite experience--Restoration 1 responded quickly, but there was a great deal of confusion trying to get the water out of my crawl space. The guys that came to do the work were polite, but all except two was inexperienced--they only had one guy who was small enough to fit in the crawl space to see what was going on. Maybe other Restoration 1 franchisees are better.

Restoration 1 did an excellent job restoring my kitchen and garage from water damage. Jeff was my main point of contact who did the estimate, and he was able to work with the small insurance check we'd received to keep our out of pocket costs as low as possible. He was very easy to work with and very communicative. Jesse was the person who did the repairs, and he was also excellent to work with. He was punctual and professional and got the job done very quickly. I recommend them to anyone needing home repairs!

I had a great experience with this company after they helped to repair the smoke damage to my personal items in my apartment. The employees were professional and courteous and very careful as they packed the items in my apartment and put it into the truck. Whitney was very helpful as she helped to address my questions and concerns in a timely manner. When the employees brought my items back, they were also very courteous and brought it all back in the same manner it left in. I would hire them again!
