Tim Downs, owner of Restoration 1, reviewed the scope of work and had an estimate ready for my seller the very same day. I secured two other estimates which took four and six days to respond back with estimates. The property was closing on March 20 and Tim made sure his team would and did complete on time. I highly recommend Restoration for mold removal and other services they offer as the company is responsive and very competitive relative to cost and service.

We had a leak along an outside wall in our condominium unit. Due to Covid, we were not in town at the time. After calling a few places and getting little assistance, I got a referral for Restoration 1 from our home inspector. Tim Downs and his team were incredibly responsive. I called on a Friday and Tim came to evaluate our leak on Saturday. More importantly, Tim brought equipment, removed the damaged drywall, set up barrier and a dehumidifier, and started mold remediation work immediately. Tim also explained clearly what needed to be done to properly repair our leak. He identified the general contractor that he thought would be best for the job, and he met him there within a matter of days. The process and the communication were excellent. We got some push back from our Condominium Association and their Management company, as they wanted to do a lesser repair. Tim warned me that this might happen. However, he ended up being our advocate, getting more than one general contractor to confirm that his recommendations were proper. He then spoke to both the Association and the Management company, who ultimately conceded that his plans were the best way to definitively solve the problem. Tim coordinated all of the work (his and that of the general contractor), which was done expeditiously. The job was completed smoothly and it was done extremely well, both outside as well as the inside work (replacing the drywall inside, painting, etc.). The work was beautiful. Tim was outstanding from beginning to end. I cannot say enough about him. I have worked with many contractors over the years. I have never had such a competent and responsive person to work with. Tim kept me informed step by step, sent me pictures when I was away, and ensured that the job was done to his specifications. He treated our home as though it was hisâ took over every worrisome aspect, and addressed it. He provided us with tremendous peace of mind, during a situation that we had little control over. I feel very fortunate to have found Tim Downs, and I am not sure where I would be now had I not!

Tim and his team did an excellent job remediating the mold in our condo. They were so thorough and left our place perfectly clean when they were done. Would definitely recommend them.

Very trustworthy. I was told what would be done and the cost to me. Nothing was done without my approval. The work was done quickly but well. I was made to feel welcome anytime I wanted to observe the work in progress.

This is a fabulous company all around. Not enough words to say how appreciative i am. To sum up, they went above and beyond their job, bought and installed supplies not part of their original contract, and never asked for more money. Cleaned up after themselves and checked in with me through entire process, making sure i was always happy.
