Restoration 1 of Morris County, LLC

Restoration 1 initially seemed responsive about mold from a concealed leak, but the experience quickly deteriorated. What was presented as full mold removal was actually limited ?dry-out? mitigation, but that was not clearly disclosed at contract. A 3?4 day job stretched to nearly three weeks with unfulfilled appointments, late arrivals, & understaffed crews. Technicians repeatedly cited insurance approvals as an obstracle, even though the adjuster said that was my responsibility & I had already authorized full remediation. Work was incomplete?black mold remained inside my toddler?s bedroom wall (see photo)?requiring more demolition. I was billed for work not done, and no invoice or clearance report for safety was provided. Project management was disorganized, the PM never came in person, & coordination with the plumber was left to me. Reconstruction was never scheduled & I must now hire another company to complete remediation and reconstruction. I do not recommend Restoration 1.

very bad for now: after we paid Sean W at cash $450K, he only finished about 40%, then asking $30% more money at about $250k more than that agreed by the contract at about$760K Since we did not agree, after on purpose paused about several months, Restoration one canceled us to continue the agreed contract. We are requesting at least $100k refund back and by court! Otherwise: next review could be using extremely bad service. Pls dont pay them until they done the work (pay step by step!!). We made huge mistake to have paid it before the any work is done

They did fantastic job. very pleased with results.

During our time of panic from an unexpected plumbing problem, Rob T came to our house and walked us through the entire process. He explained everything in detail to us and allowed us to feel confident that everything would be ok. We did not feel rushed when speaking with him and he made sure that we were taken cared of. Rob C came back within a short amount of time and started the Dry Out immediately. He explained the process again in great detail and worked with us on timing as they would be coming by daily to check on the equipment. During the dry out Rob C and Rob D came by and during the time slot we all agreed to. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who might need their services and I would not hesitate to use them should we need their services again. I am very grateful they were there to help us!

I had experiences with Restoration recently for my 2 properties. Restoration 1 is the best. They provide timely, excellent and professional services. Not only they help you to resolve those disaster kind of problem, but also make you more comfortable during difficult time. Specially thanks for Rob who is such nice, professional person. Joe, Tyrone and the whole crew have been really helpful in getting everything done right away. They deal directly with the adjuster and keep you informed in a daily manner. I've used them twice, water and smoke damages and I highly recommend them.

On time and very helpful Guys had full respect for me and my home I would recommend them every time to anyone with a mold problem

Owner (Darric) was and continues to be very helpful in getting my project completed. He worked directly with the insurance company so that I did not have to worry about that aspect. His workers (Ray & Carlos) were extremely attentive to my needs. Even though my project has been completed, Darric continues to be available to me for questions & consultations.

Derek has been with us every step of the way during this stressful event. He has made a point to keep us informed every day as to our progress and has worked tirelessly with the insurance adjuster to help us get as much of the cost covered as possible. His crew has been incredibly clean, helpful and thorough. I can't say enough about the job that Restoration 1 has done for us. I wouldn't consider hiring anyone else.

Very friendly and very honest. He came for an estimate immediately. Turns out I did not need to use them. My mold issue was not a problem. I know nothing about mold and he could have told me the whole house needed work but instead he was honest and a professional.
