Mark and the entire staff from Restoration North are an absolute joy to work with. After buying a 100 year old home, I turned to Restoration North to handle my complete home remodel, including kitchen and master bath, and all new hardwood floors. Restoration North did not disappoint!! After meeting with Mark to discuss my project, I knew I had found my contractor. He listened carefully, offered thorough guidance and insight, and was completely honest about timelines, budget, and any concerns he had about making my dream home a reality. I had heard so many contractor nightmare stories from others who had remodeled their homes, and they warned me to be prepared for the worst! With trepidation, I kept waiting for that moment to come â ¦ but it never did. Throughout the entire project, Mark remained professional, responsive, and reliable every step of the way. And he provided such great insight (and patience!) when addressing all my questions and concerns in each phase of the project. From guiding me through my design options, to selecting the finishes and fixtures (he even took the time to personally meet with me at the various vendorsâ locations), Markâ s knowledge, expertise and attention to detail never ceased to impress! My experience with Restoration North was an exceptionally positive and satisfying one, as their quality work, outstanding customer service and exemplary professionalism are bar none. I would recommend Restoration North without hesitation to anyone looking to do any kind of remodeling work on their home, and I would gladly welcome the opportunity to work with Restoration North again.

Our beautiful new kitchen is completed. Working with Restoration North was a unique process, from the initial visit to the completion of the project. First, we met with Mark and Ryan for an initial consultation. The second meeting was with Ryan, Mark and Deanna, the design consultant to discuss what I envisioned and how to make it work within our budget. Deanna was very knowledgeable and professional. Her design rendition was on point. Nick, Ryan and their team were talented in their crafts, knowledgeable and polite. They kept us informed of their progress daily. Mark, Nick and Ryan addressed all issues and concerns promptly. They went above and beyond to meet our expectations. Thanks for a job well done!

Representative seemed to be vetting ME for whether the company should bother looking at my project. I wanted a complete kitchen renovation, yet he spoke about the NFL players they had worked with, and my age reference whether they should come do the job, how long did I plan to be in the house? never once asking what I was looking for. As I tried to direct him back to the project I wanted, he kept talking to me of future plans and the material my house is made of and whether it would be **valuable** to redo my kitchen. Then he said I was shortsighted and not thinking of these things. Really. Who calls for a complete renovation without having thought about? They will not be getting my business.

Response from Company:

Hello Becky W, thank you for you feedback. We are a full service company that engages in design, planning, material supply, and labor for residential and commercial projects. We have architects on staff, electricians, plumbers and design professionals as well. We also have extensive material knowledge in regard to quality, logistics, and value. Yes you're correct it is our policy to qualify projects in order to give the best possible results to our clientele, while being respectful of our time and yours. Not every project is a fit for us, and in order to determine that we have specific information we gather to best serve you and your needs. You also told our staff that it's a duplex, the location of the project and that you don't live in Buffalo. Already falling into a category of a project we would likely not do because our quality, skill, knowledge and expertise tells us all we need to know. We don't engage in budget projects in which individuals have unreasonable expectations, and unreasonable budgets. As you stated in your feedback, we do work for people that have reasonable expectations and budgets. A standard complete kitchen renovation with quality materials, labor and expertise is between 40-60k, add structural work and the cost goes up. It's very unlikely a duplex owner would ever spend that on a project for a complete kitchen renovation as you called it because its a poor financial decision with no actual return on investment. It would take many years to recover that investment. As you stated, yes we have worked for professional athletes, and we work for many custom home builders in the area, and around the nation. Our experience is extensive, and very dialed in to reality. A complete kitchen renovation means nothing to us, or any skilled professional in regard to what it defines as scope of work. As far as the questions asked yes they were probably things you have never been asked because that is our experienced staff doing more than the average to help people through a very dynamic and strenuous process. Also, many people have no idea what they want when they call, needing a lot of attention and help designing and planning, which we love to do. 1. We asked how long you have owned the house, it's age, and what has been done to the structure since ownership. 2. We ask what your plans are for the house, whether you're just renovating in preparation fora sale, staying for 5 years, or staying for 20 plus years. 3. These factors determine what you should commit to a project financially. There is much more benefit to the homeowner who plans to renovate a space and stay there for 20 years or longer versus someone who plans to sell in spring or in the next 2 years and move to Florida. So spending 125k in either of those situations either makes great sense or is completely ridiculous. 4 Yes, your age matters, because if you are planning to stay for the long haul and you're 50, then great, you will enjoy many years of benefits and problem free living with great materials in your well planned, perfectly built space, if you're 80, well your long haul isn't likely to be that long at all. So spending 125k doesn't make as much sense to you now does it? These are all reasonable concepts, that reasonable people with life experience will appreciate. You would the first person to complain about actually being treated fairly for you're own benefit. This is why we qualify people before we ever agree to meet, it's why we hand select who we work for, it's what best serves our brand, our reputation, our relationships and fosters our success. We do greatly thank you for leaving this review so people can understand who we are, and how we help others through a very difficult and dynamic process. Thank you for showing how we serve people and their needs to help their life situations best and for providing exceptional value.

Very professional and very neat about their work. They started when it was scheduled to start and finished in the time they said it would take the work is very impressive and we are extremely pleased. The work was extensive and included structural work as we had our ceilings vaulted and three walls that were removed and required beams the work included the kitchen, family room, living and dining room as well as two bathrooms oh and one bedroom. With new floors throughout the house , electrical and plumbing work all aspects of this job were were done to perfection . As a side note even the town building inspectors were very impressed. We would use them again without hesitation.
