Profile
Reveal Home Inspections

Nick Kuvach, the owner/operator of Reveal Home Inspections, is the only inspector/environmental tester representing Reveal Home Inspections. Nick has been in the residential construction/inspection industry for 40 years. There is no substitute for experience. Most licensed home inspectors have much less experience and have transitioned to home inspections from other backgrounds later in life and for supplemental income. With Reveal Home Inspections you always know who will be performing your home inspection and environmental testing, Nick Kuvach. With larger firms you never know who will show up to do your inspection and testing. With Reveal Home Inspections there is no delegation of responsibility. You will have the confidence that you are hiring decades of experience in Nick Kuvach.

How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because home inspectors are NOT all created equal. For many years I was a licensed Building Contractor in Westchester and Putnam Counties. My whole life has been in the residential buildings industry. Remodeling, renovations, additions, new home building. I have done it ALL; for decades. I have estimated the costs of millions of dollars worth of jobs and been involved in every aspect of their execution. Most home inspectors do not have such a background since many come to home inspection as a part time or late life source of income. Most home inspectors have come into this business from other careers, not me. I am qualified to authoritatively consult with you as to what it would cost to correct a defect or deficiency found during an inspection. I can tell you how much it would cost for you to make repairs or improvements to your new home and what is realistically possible and what is not within your budget. .

We started in this industry in 1975.

We describe our business as Well established

Why should someone hire you?

Due to my age and experience I bring a body of knowledge to a job that few home inspectors can match

Project: Inspect a Home
Nick is exactly the type of person I was looking to hire for a home inspection prior to purchase. He did an amazingly thorough job and was very knowledgeable in all the different trades. He was able to find code violations in both electrical and plumbing installations. I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a home inspection.

Project: Inspect a Home
Nick is very professional and respectful. He arrived ahead of time, did a very thorough job inspecting the house, and taught us a lot about the house along the way. He also gave us some candid suggestions on how to improve the house. Much appreciated!

It's not often that you find a business that will have expert knowledge on the subject and at the same time provide top notch customer service. Nick is there for his customers, period. He is very diligent with his work and has no limit in the amount of time he will speak with you (at no charge). He doesn't just perform the inspection and send you a report - he provides guidance and tips along the way, letting you know what it would entail to correct any issues he finds. I wouldn't be comfortable hiring anyone else.

Hire Nick Kuvach you will NOT be disappointed! He schedules only 1 inspection per day to be sure he has enough time to spend on the appraisal. He has experience as a contractor and will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding the structure of the house. I had a 75 year old house inspected that I was interested in buying. The homeowner was so impressed with Nick's that she asked for his card. He spent 5 hours on the inspection and was happy to have me crawl along with him through crawl spaces and attic so he could point out the details of his inspection. And he's a nice guy too!

Project: Inspect a Home
In addition to the home inspection Nicholas performed a variety of environmental testing on my property including a Radon Test. As it turns out in New York State a Radon Tester has to be certified by the NYS Dept. of Health. As it turns out all home inspectors seem to test for Radon BUT not all home inspectors are properly trained and certified professional radon testers. I checked with the NYS Dept. of Health and discovered that Nicholas was certified by the Dept. of Health as a Professional radon tester, that's how I found him...by doing a search for Certified Professional Radon Testers. I worked my way backwards to finding a qualified home inspector by finding my radon tester first...Nicholas Kuvach and Reveal Home Inspections. And boy am I ever glad that I did. Nicholas is a careful, thorough home inspector who takes all the time necessary to perform a complete home inspection. He says that he does not schedule more than one inspection a day so that he doesn't get backed up and I believe it. He was in no rush to leave the property after the inspection was done and stayed around to answer all our questions and show us around the house explaining things to us about the heating and cooling system etc. We got more service than we paid for. We wound up giving Nicholas a tip above his requested fee because he was so generous with his time and information. A really great guy!

Project: Inspect a Home
Nick inspected my house in 1995. That's 20 years ago! I can't believe that much time has passed. I called Nick, owner of Reveal Home Inspections, last week to ask for some feedback and advice on a home improvement project my husband and I are considering. We talked for almost and hour and at the end of our conversation he asked if I would write a review for his Home Advisor Profile...so of course we said, "YES!" When we hired Nick to do our home inspection he said that we could call him and "pick his brains" whenever we wanted if we needed some advice or guidance. Nick was still general contracting when he did our home inspection and said that we could call him and consult as long as he was living and breathing. Which is like for the rest of his life! Nick Kuvach has a lot of information in his head and a lot of real life home building, remodeling, experience. Honestly, I think he might be too generous with his time since he doesn't charge for a phone consultation and he'll stay on the line for as long as you have questions. You can not do better than hiring Nick Kuvach and Reveal Home Inspections.
