Severely underbid the project to get the work, then over ran the estimate by almost 3x, without the project being complete. I complained and they cut the labor amount, but the project is still not complete. They pulled up the tile reassuring me they could find replacement. Instead of 8x8, they brought 6x6, they exchanged it for new tile, but it was 8x6 and a different color. I will not be inviting them back to finish the project.

I always use RI Rooter because they do excellent work. Eddie tells you what is wrong and whats need to be done and then fixes it.

Here's the bottom line. Eddie, the owner of the company, is not a licensed plumber. The license number he uses belongs to another guy, who is listed as a co-owner in the business but is usually not the one doing the plumbing work. Eddie was very personable and convincing, and the boiler he installed looked great, but as it turned out there were over a dozen significant errors with the forced hot water heating system and bathroom plumbing replacement work they did. If the additional renovations I hired them for had not gone terribly wrong, resulting in another plumber and the city inspectors getting involved, most of these problems would have been buried behind walls and under floors. It could have been months or even years before they were revealed. This is probably why there are so many positive reviews. Slow leaks, improper fittings, wiring problems, uninsulated lines run through cold zones, etc. I suppose I am lucky that water started pouring through the ceiling from a leaking shower valve and into the basement from a backed up frozen condensate line. I got a mess, but this could have just as easily been a huge safety issue if it was the gas lines leaking and not just water. I rely heavily on reviews for many decisions, and of course the one or two people who post bad reviews for a highly rated business or product always sound like a crackpots. I thought about how to handle this for a long time, but I would not want anyone else to have to go through this and it was because of the home advisor reviews I let this mess go on so long when I should have been more wary. If you don't believe me, please consider calling the state licensing board to confirm. Also ask to see an insurance certificate, and call the company to confirm that it is current, as I will be doing from now on.

Very courteous

Have never had this quality of service and expertise in any home repair. I thought that I had to replace my heating/hot water boiler but after a thorough review/examination of my present boiler system Eddie assured me that after some repairs to my present system it would be as good as new. I called Eddie on a saturday and he responded that same afternoon and provided an estimate of the work that was needed. By monday evening all the repairs and work had been finished. Eddie saved me about $5000 because of his work on my present boiler and honest opinion that a new system was not needed. Eddie and his crew were courteous, knowledgable and very timely in getting the work done. Eddie was very thorough in explaining what he was going to do and why he was doing it. It was such a pleasure to find a contractor that had the knowledge and ability to resolve my problems. I would highly recommend him to anyone that had plumbing and or heating issues.

They contacted me promptly over the weekend to schedule a consult to install a gas conversion burner on my boiler, showed up on Monday to check out the system and completed the work on Tuesday. I'd call them back in a heartbeat for another job.

I couldn't have asked for a better service. The guys were pleasant, knowledgeable and on time. They did exactly what they said they would and I wouldn't hesitate employing them again. Eddie and company are the real deal! I would recommend them any time.

Did a great job and was very quick

Ed showed up and gave ah honest and fair estimate on a project other plumbers wouldn't touch. Came in with a crew of guys the day of install and they knocked it out quickly and cleanly. Found other issues with my electrical panel that were also quickly addressed and fixed. They came and worked for a few days and left my house spotless and with a new oil boiler and panel. Great job and work. Ed knows what he's talking about. I have him on speed dial and plan on using him for several other projects.

Overall they did a very good job, only concern was the amount of time it took to complete the job. I will hire them again and do recommend them.

This plumber was supposed to install an electric on demand water heater. I received a point of use water heater that was installed in the basement to serve 6 sinks on all levels of the building. It does not provide hot water as it should never have been used in this manner. RI Rooter will not correct this problem because he said the unit is defective. Sadly I thought I could count on good advice from 5 star plumber and did not research this device until a tenant told me they looked it up and the purpose of the heater is to supplement hot water at a sink and not be the sole hot water system in a building. He also did not tell me it was not an on demand water heater before he installed it. He has not returned phone calls. I would never recommend this plumber to anyone.

Came to price quickly. Was reasonable. Started work within a week, but it took much longer than I was told. There was also an error with the wiring that had to be redone by owner. Had to reschedule that appt twice.

Ralph and Jesse did an excellent job. I was concerned about mess and odor from this one-quarter full fuel oil tank removal from my basement, but they knew what they were doing. The job was done quickly and with minimal mess and odor.

I am a long distance landlord and he was extremely honest and professional. I was lucky to have found him.

Both Eddie and his team are amazing!!!! Not only did they do a great job. Eddie explained everything re how the problem occurred everything and really helped us to know what is going on in our home. Thank you!!!!

These are the guys you want. Period. I had three separate problems and each problem was a can of worms. These guys took care of everything with a great attitude along the way. I'd like to thank them again and recommend them for any job you may have.

If I could give 25 stars I would! These guys are rock stars .. going way over and beyond to provide excellent service and quality workmanship! I would use them again for any of my plumbing needs!! Fantastic job!

Eddie came over on a Saturday do a small repair. He took the time to take apart and clean out a faucet fixture that had a leak, instead of just replacing it. Will definitely use them again!

Quick & professional

Ed called right away was very prompt and professional. Completed the job in the time he committed to. Very curtious, Henry and Jay were also professional. They all take pride in there work. The price was also reasonable. I would recommend them to any one

contacted them on Friday and they agreed to come on Saturday, even though this was not an emergency. very professional job. They noticed several things done wrong on the last install and corrected them without addtional charge.

Ed called me right away and I found him to be very helpful and knowledgable. He came to my condo the same day and installed my new water heater later on the same day. Ed takes pride in his work and is very committed to satisfy his customer. Ed was extremely polite and professional. I would definitely recommend him and his company. Overall great job!
