3-4 Room Interior Painting or Staining
He took twice as long as he said it would take. It became a serious imposition. They would come and work for one hour at a time. They did not complete the punch list, they never completed the job. The price kept increasing too.

Richard is wonderful to work with. He's on time, communicates well and is very professional and thorough. He started with a paint and drywall project and will do much more by the time I'm done with my kitchen remodel.

Multiple trips to complete project.
Response from Richard H. Davis Paint and Restore
"Yes, a very small bedroom had a water leak in a bulkhead that needed several trips due to drying times of the joint compound (mud). Then several more trips, also due to drying times for primer and two coats of paint."

They came when the said they would, estimate was the same as final cost, and work was finished in a timely manner. They covered the work area and tried their best to keep things clean. It IS drywall, so of course there was dust, but they did well.

My painter actually had to redo the repair in my kitchen . It was uneven and rough
Response from Richard H. Davis Paint and Restore
"We were called in to correct her painters repair before she had him repaint the ceiling as he did a terrible job painting and repairing.. She had us make the repair right as she said she did not have faith in her painter to do it right. She did not have us paint because she had already paid her painter and was going to hopefully get him to paint it correctly. Apparently when her painter came back ( after we fixed his drywall work ) to paint her ceiling again he complained to her about our work. Well I guess he paid us back for correcting his poor workmanship. I hope that made him feel much better.."

Kitchen has nail heads popping out for wallboard. Kitchen fixture was cut to remove, along with electrical box. Made it easier for the installers but created an extra cost for me. Told me that it had been installed wrong....not it hadn't. Debris all over patio, cigarette butts, driveway, and back porch. Tape for the thin drop clothes still hanging from cabinets. Electrical cord is now missing, that was hanging on the fence. Contractor backed up into electrical pole. Had to called Consumers to have wire repaired, lights were flickering . Would of liked to have seen supply receipt. Have a feeling I paid for supplies for another job.
Response from Richard H. Davis Paint and Restore
"Very strange disconnected comments. She forgot to mention that our quality of work was superb and that it was a large job. We installed an entire kitchen ceiling, one third of a large dining ceiling, one third of a large bedroom ceiling plus corrected much wall damage. The bedroom ceiling was so bad that they propped it up with 2X4's standing on the floor. Yes tearing out a great deal of old plaster is dusty as well is the sanding on the new. We did no electrical work as we are not licensed to do such work. Our crew leader went back and moved her electrical box to the other side of the ceiling joist. The guys did leave the patio where we put the plaster and drywall for our trash man to pick it up. Unfortunately it was raining and our trash man could not sweep up very well. And yes the guys did not dispose of cigarette butts very well. I bumped the pole that was 6 inches from driveway and city curb. It was pouring rain and I just tapped it backing out of her driveway. And in no way did she pay for materials for another job as all her material was included in the bid.(one price for material and labor)."

We had trouble with their service initially. They came back and now it looks acceptable.
Response from Richard H. Davis Paint and Restore
"We never left so it is incorrect to say we came back. She told us all along it looked good and she was so happy. After the final walk through she said she was happy. We did many extras for her that we did not charge for. This was a very challenging drywall install as the 2nd floor had slanted walls and many difficult corners and angles to cover the old knotty wood paneling. We took many actions to please the customer like painting additional areas to make it look good, painting a third coat on some areas, fixing things that were not part of the drywall project etc."
