Richards Roofing

The roof looks great. The recommended upgrade to architectural shingles added texture and depth to the color. However, because of the haphazard way in which they did the tear-off, I'm still finding shingles and nails in my yard. They should've covered up landscaping and especially the pond to avoid debris. If any of these nails punctures the pond lining, it will be very time consuming and expensive to repair. Other roofers use a ramp between the roof & the dumpster to minimize debris cleanup, which I would highly recommend. They reduced the price after I complained, but I was still left with the remaining cleanup.

Price ranges varied greatly (from $1400-$3,000) and also how the measurements were done. I went with lowest bidder not just because of the price but he furnished several references in my area and I went to check them out. Richards did an excellent cleanup and were timely.

I was generally very pleased with the service I received from Richards Roofing. All their references approved highly of their services, and after hiring them for a complete roof replacement, I would tend to agree.

There was a problem with communication.

They don't do a great job of cleaning up. You would have to insist on a thorough clean up job.

after the job was finished there was some additional cleanup needed. One of our trash cans was used without asking and not returned. Job took a little longer than expected due to the weather (extreme heat) Overall, they did a fine job with some minor dissapointments.
