Richards Masonry & Chimney Sweeping

What a pleasant surprise these days when someone comes in, gives you an estimate and detailed list of what's needing to be done, and then does exactly what he proposed. On top of that, he's a great guy...friendly, honest, and does great work.

Nice guy. Arrived on time, was professional and very knowledgeable. Explained the whole process to me. I would highly recommend him. And plan to call him for future projects.

Just a great guy, shows up when he says and does nice work! I plan to hire him again for future jobs. Very satisfied, thank you HomeAdvisors!

Quick response to my inquiry. Easy to schedule. Arrived on time. Quick, clean, knowledgeable and professional service.

We hired Brett Richards to replace our too small chimney cap with a larger one that would cover all 3 flues not just the largest one. He responded quickly to our call to come and give an estimate. We chose to hire him. He was on time, on price and diligent in his work habits. He was also knowledgeable and personable. We would hire him again for any future work in his areas of expertise.

Dependable, prompt. Informed of arrival time. No other competing work projects. Very good clean up after job. Went above and beyond with effort. Stone chimney can be challenging compared to brick and he did great job. Would re hire again. Very friendly and steady hard worker.

Hired to install wood stove and chimney liner. In addition, top layers of chimney needed a rebuild. Crew was pleasant, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Would hire again!

There are cheaper chimney cleaning services and I have used a few. Some were less than careful and some tried to pressure me into hiring them for service I did not need. Mr. Richards was careful, clear and informative. When I told him my concern he addressed it honestly and told me what to watch for in the future. Worth the price.

Did an amazing job rebuilding top parts of my chimney, very friendly and took great care in his work. Clean up like he wasn’t ever there. Very fair pricing to. Would call again in a heartbeat when I need anymore masonry work

Very fair and honest. Reliable and on-time.

Brett is fair, honest, and does great work. He installed two chimney liners on a frigid windy day and had the work completed in less than a day. I am happy to recommend his work and know he will do a great job on my near-future projects.

Quickly returned my initial call. Quoted me a price based on cleaning the flue between the furnace and the chimney. Called on day of appointment with ETA and arrived on time. After trying unsuccessfully to remove the cap at the end of the pipe he wasn't able to do the work at that time. Provided a proposal of what additional work was required to access the flue pipe, and left leaving me time to consider how I'd like to proceed in the future. As the work wasn't able to be done, I was not billed for the call. Due to circumstances this didn't turn out as planned, but Brett's decision to handle it as he did was appreciated (and rare in my experience). Professional, responsive and considerate. Based on my experience I'd recommend him. (*not able to rate work quality)

Called late in afternoon with problem. He was at my door that night to take a look. Came to do the project on a cold very windy day and took care of the problem, three dead squirrels and a nest! Thank you guys,

Richards was friendly and helpful, I will definitely recommend and hire him again in the future.

Experienced, responsive, Someone I plan to use permanently. Very happy with him. I would enthusiastically recommend him.

Brett Richards is a problem solver and gets the job done. He is knowledgeable

Very true to his word. Showed up when he said he would and did exactly what he said he was going to do

Job Well Done !

Brett and company did nice work on repairs for an old cobblestone chimney, broke up and replaced an old concrete patio slab, took down a pencil chimney, repaired broken cinder blocks on an outside garage wall. Was professional, communication was very good, they also cleaned up very nice at the end of the job. Will hire Brett again. A+

Gave me an approximate date and firm estimate. Called on the date and did an outstanding job the next day. May be hiring him for another project.

Richard changed my beat up chimney into a modern piece of art. He also put a stainless steel liner in the chimney. Him and his sidekick were respectful and very clean. They protected all my property he had to work in. Glad I hired him, and plan to have him as a regular chimney cleaner.

the contractor was not the correct one for the job.

Bret and his crew showed up on time every day Clearly explained what need to be done to refurbish my stone walkway/stairs and a 6 foot length of collapsing wall Explained why the wall was failing and what needed to be done to prevent a recurrence Bret et al woked full days with no nonsense during their work The price was more than fair and o will look for excuse to bring him back Shouldn't be too gard to do as my house is almost 90 yrs old

Richards Masonry & Chimney Sweeping did an excellent job repairing my steps and retaining wall. They were prompt, responsive and professional. At each step of the repair, they explained when and how they would accomplish the work, and then followed up by walking me through what they had done. I couldn't have asked for a better job or more professional masons.
