great service - one of the few companies that could clean my dryer vent as i am on the 3rd floor and the vent is in a hard to reach location outside the building.

I take care of a large home in Boxford with ducts and about 25 vents that hadn't been cleaned in many years. A strange odor had permeated parts of the house that I suspected had a rodent origin. After filling out the project details on Home Advisor, I initially tried to hire a different company, which was a mistake. I initially didn't look seriously into Richmond Restoration because the house is in East Boxford, which was not listed in the service area, even though West Boxford was. I figured that Richmond would need to come from too far away. I was also somewhat leery of the fewer number of reviews, even though I try to support new businesses when I can. I proceeded to review some of the other companies listed and scheduled an appointment online. Then Richmond called me about 45 mins later, immediately after getting my info from Home Advisor. I had to turn them away. Well, the other company never showed up and ignored my follow up message. So I called Richmond back because they had shown earnest interest before. They didn't hold it against me that I hadn't initially chosen them. Mike and Eric put me in the schedule for about ten days later. They showed up ready to work probably after enduring some ugly traffic. I had the additional problem of needing to go for an emergency root canal that same morning before a long holiday weekend. I weighed whether to cancel the appointment or to trust them in the house without me. There were ZERO signs that I couldn't trust them. So, I left them and asked them to lock up on their way out. They were both confident and steady the whole time they were here. They ended up cleaning a huge amount of crud from the main trunk lines and meticulously went throughout the whole house. I suspect that they went above and beyond since I wasn't able to be there to answer questions. They treated everything like their own and didn't charge me extra even if they needed to do it. Everything is running more smoothly now, and the noises and smells have subsided substantially. I know too that they would own up to anything that went wrong. With all of that said, talk with them before you hire anyone else.

Excellent job, looked at the vents and said thy didn't need cleaning, just sanitizing. Removed an amazing amount of lint from the dryer duct. job completed for well below estimate since the a/c ducts didn't need cleaning.

This company showed up on time, gave me a reasonable quote for duct/furnace and dryer vent cleaning and proceeded to work non-stop for 3 hours on this long overdue project. They were knowledgeable, professional and efficient. My heating system is now so quiet and efficient I had to keep running down to the basement to check to make sure the pilot hadn't gone out!
