In my opinion Rick is the experts expert for home inspections. We asked him to perform a sellers inspection on our 6500+ square foot home. It had undergone a very large addition and 3 major renovations making it a complicated project to evaluate. Ricks extensive experience and expertise resulted in an extremely detailed and comprehensive report complete with extensive photography which made it easy for us to identify potential problems and solutions. Rick is extremely pleasant to work with and very generous with his time both during and after the survey. Having his report instilled confidence in potential buyers and greatly facilitated the sale.

Fantastic. Very glad I went with Rick Bates. He was extremely thorough and generous in sharing knowledge. He also took care to understand our goals and concerns in directing his advice. Rick is extremely thorough and detailed. His experience is so valuable especially when inspecting commercial property. The property he inspected for us had four different heating systems, a more complex electrical system and a leaky roof. He took the time to share examples of "what-ifs" to give us things to think about before we invested in the property. His inspection report is very comprehensive and easy to follow. Rick responds in a timely fashion and follows up regularly to ensure all i's are dotted and t's are crossed. We 5-star recommend him for your inspection needs whether it be residential or commercial.
