Major Renovation Multiple Room Service
Rick brought unqualified workers to the job. Asked for draws along the way, ASKED FOR MORE MONEY than his original bid, ... and then QUIT before the work was done. Poor quality, paint was only one coat when 2 were needed. Installed a toilet sideways. Left a HUGE mess behind and did not complete the job. Good reviews are likely relatives or friends fake reviews. :-( BAD CONTRACTOR!!!!

Bathroom Remodel
I contracted Rick McElroy & crew to remodel a bathroom in a home I purchased - the existing bathroom was not functional in any way with a rotted floor, missing wallboard, bad electrical, broken sink, etc. Rick and his team completed the work in a timely manner, with a thorough understanding of the work to be completed for an honest and fair price. Bathroom looks and works great, gladly recommend and would hire again.

Addition to Existing Structure Building Service
Attention to detail poor. Communication poor. Did not follow instructions. Poor workmanship. Did not follow manufacturers instructions when installing material. Overall very disapointed. Someone with little or no knowledge of construction might be happy but anyone with knowledge would not have been pleased.

"Sometimes a customer is wanting us to do as they direct instead of hiring us to do as we are experienced to do. Sorry they are unhappy but we did as required and he paid us in full."

Deck or Porch
Yes, the deck is up! But what he quoted to come back and stain is totally different! For months he has been blowing me off, saying someone will be there than a NO SHOW! Here it is months later and some of the boards have cracks in it! So much for his hand picking the lumber he uses! Just use caution!

Did use drop cloths on most of my furniture, left a mess, did not do things we verbally agreed to. Trying to charge for materials over the cost of the contract.

"Please view the pictures of her ceiling in her basement. Our crew did an excellent job amidst 800 square feet of personal belongings that they moved daily to accommodate completion of the job. She changed her mind about having knockdown finish on the ceiling after it was signed and agreed upon. She added switches and trim to the job. She refused to pay the balance due. Yes we did more than we are asked to do because she agreed to pay for it. The work was done in a timely manner and was excellent!"

Rick and his crew were wonderful. They offered some advice that proved great for my house. I had no problem paying them the additional money needed to make those happen. They cleaned-up and were courteous and respectful. They used the best materials I have seen in a long time. I am very happy and would recommend them.

Deck or Porch
Rick and his crew built a beautiful front porch for us. Five stars is not nearly enough! It is the most beautiful porch ever and we love it. They also built a deck on one of our rentals and it looks wonderful. I can't wait until he builds a deck around our pool! Rick will be our go to guy for any future work. I can't tell you enough how pleased we are. If you are looking for skilled, honest and reasonable work, I highly recommend Rick!!

Rick and his team were awesome!! They were able to get our deck done in two days!!! They were supposed to start on a Monday and ended up starting the Thursday before. Rick was also very knowledgable and helpful with my random questions on how to fix other things. Rick also put up our shutters for us with no hesitation... We got them down and couldn't get them back up. Thank you again, Rick and team. We are very happy with the results!!

"Wow, this is a not so wonderful surprise. I worked with Sheri to alleviate any concerns. When she paid me March 14, 2016 she was very happy. She commented on how respectful and,"What good manners my employee's had." I have heard nothing else from her until this posting. I even tried calling her and received no reply. What a shame that we were not informed of any concerns she had and are not given the opportunity to rectify an otherwise wonderful job. As far as we knew she was very pleased."

Rick, his wife and his crew did a great job building a hip roof covering over our patio. They were timely, fair, respectful, organized and did great work for a honest and fair price. The contract remained updated with change orders and costs of those changes. Rick checked in with us on decisions before final building happened. The crew was respectful, knowledgeable and provided recommendations when needed. Thank you Rick for a job well done and I would highly recommend his services.

Basement Remodeling
Rick and Brenda and their crew are very responsive and they can do anything you need. They get at the work quickly and get in and get it done. We had a flood and needed to renovate our basement on a deadline before a large family gathering. They do everything - even found water UNDER our tub-shower surround. They pulled it out, took out the adjacent wall to access, and managed not only to drain the water, but extract the wet dirt and fill with dry and reseal concrete.

Rick is very dependable and does a great job. We hired him to do some odd end jobs around my house that a previous handyman messed up doing. He found some that I hadn't noticed and fixed those up too while he was there. He was timely everyday and made sure we had the best materials for the jobs. He's a good guy and I would definitely hire him for any future things I need done.

Rick and his crew did an amazing job with our chain link fence installation. He was very quick to respond to my calls if i left a voicemail, and very efficient. The project from start to finish should have only taken about 4 days, but with an excessive amount of rain we received the week he started it pushed him back a bit. He had his crew out there working between rain storms and the fence turned out great! He did go 200.00 over budget, but made the fence look nicer. He and his crew just seemed very knowledgeable and professional. We paid for our materials and such up front and he would not take the final check until we saw the fence and made sure it was what we wanted.I would call Rick again for any home improvement project!

Awesome! We live out of state & are trying to fix a house for leasing. Called him & let him know there was a 5ft high pile of garbage in the garage, gutters were clogged that led to water logging the ceiling in the garage bringing 2/3 of the ceiling drywall down. They were out the same day to look & finished the garbage, gutters & ceiling w/in 3 days! They were a pleasure to work w/ & I definitely recommend for ANY contracting projects. In fact, we had him replace the roof the following week and it was done in two days! Cost was reasonable. Thanks Rick & Co! Cheers!!
