Ricmar & Associates, LLC

I hired Ricmar & Associates after reading their reviews on Home Advisor and meeting with three other contractors. What we thought was a simple brick patio demolition and concrete patio install turned into a lot more. Once the patio was removed there was rot found in the mudsill where water had been draining toward the foundation from the patio. Ric came out with his crew and had to jack up the house to replace the rotted boards. Due to the house settling afterward Ric came back and fixed the French Doors and this included adjusting the door sweep, and molding. They then made sure to put a molding around the outside area to finish off the look. They ended up using three different variations of flashing to ensure there wouldn't be any drainage issue. I learned a very important lesson with this project that when you go with a contractor that comes highly recommended you really do get what you pay for. Ric was timely with his responses, came over the same day if I had any issues or questions with the work being done, talked through options and explained them so I could understand. I would recommend him and his team to my best friend as well as a stranger on the street.

Timeliness, price, competence -- all outstanding

We hired RicMar at the end of October 2016 to complete a tile job in our master bath. All of the demo and prep was completed and he was hired to lay the tile on the floor and the shower and tub surround. We had a contract and settled on a price for labor. We were in charge of furnishing supplies. The job was quoted to take 3-4 days. It took 3 months! There were multiple problems along the way. The job was "complete" after 5 weeks, but was so sloppy that Ric and his wife came over and ripped out a good section of the job and replaced it. The problem is that they allowed the same associate back into my house to fix it, even though Ric told me he wouldn't be back. So now I am left with an incomplete tile job that is sloppy, once again. Our expectations for this project have been: Tile should be laid in a straight, level line Tile should be laid flat Individual tiles should not be crooked or askew Grout lines should be complete, even and clean Caulk lines should be clean and straight Carpets should be protected from stains Tiles and grout should be sealed That's it. That's the expectation and standard for a tiling job. I can honestly say that RicMar and associates have failed on every single one of these points. They have been paid for their job and have not completed it! We have multiple, gaping holes in our grout. We have non existent caulk lines. We have sloppy, smeared caulk lines. He used 3 visibly different grouts in our shower. THREE! There are uneven, crooked, offset tiles throughout the job. This is an obvious problem! Our floor grout has been stained by them as they grouted the tub. None of it has been resealed since it's been torn back up. My carpet is stained in multiple areas. All of this and we can't get Ric to return our calls. We have never been angry with them. We have never yelled or been unreasonable. We have never been impatient, or rushed them. We have never threatened them. We have given them THREE MONTHS of our life, $1000 for the job, plus around $650 in supplies. To say we are disappointed is a huge understatement. We will never recommend RicMar and Associates! Ric, if you're reading this, we'd appreciate a call back!!

They were professional, trustworthy, and respectful. I converted my electric range to gas. They ran a gas line and installed a 110 outlet, then installed my range and OTR microwave. Very happy. I will definitely call them again!

The carpenter that installed new knobs and closet doors did a great job.

I needed a new bathtub installed. RICMAR came in - removed the tile around the tub, installed the tub and put up new cement board and tile. Came out looking fantastic - A+ service!

The owner came out to my elderly parents home and installed their washer and dryer almost immediately after I called. His attitude was fantastic!

They were very responsive to my request for a quote. Very specific and committed to completing the job , on my time frame. They completed the job on time and within quoted dollars ... Ric Mar & Associates, LLC are great to deal with. They do excellent work and get the job done. I am VERY happy with the work they did in my townhouse, it has really brought the place up to date. Everything was done well and in a timely fashion. I highly recommend them.
