Ridgeway Precision Mechanical, Inc. (RPM) is a third generation family owned company which originated in 1940. We offer heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration (HVAC-R), hydraulic systems, electrical and plumbing services. RPM services the Chicagoland area and suburbs. Our trucks are new, well maintained and bright yellow! You can't miss us! We service all makes and models, Customer Service is always #1! We offer 24 Hour Emergency Service - Our phones are always answered by a technician after hours! Not voice mail or an answering service! We offer annual service plans that include 1 to 2 visits per year to inspect your heating unit, water heater or your cooling unit. We want to keep your heating and cooling bills affordable.

"RPM has been sending monthly emails to email address on file since work was done in March 2016, with no notification they were not being delivered to customer. After no response or payment account was sent to collections. When (consumer name withheld per their request) received notice he called and got directly through to RPM he spoke to the office it was determined that the email on file for him was incorrect. RPM received no contact by phone or email from customer since work was done., Considering there was an incorrect email and (consumer name withheld per their request) stated he never received invoice or statements RPM notified the collection agency to drop activity as well as waived the late fees and collected $120.00 for our service. When RPM performs work for customers we do expect to get compensated for the services rendered and we always provide honest & reliable business to our customers."
"RPM was contacted by customer to come out and replace misc; piping he had asked if we could install his supplied water softner and was quoted $300.00 to install it at same time of replacing piping provided all parts were on site. RPM arrived on site we performed and completed the piping work. The technician proceeded to install customer supplied water softner while he was installing the water softner he found that all the parts were not there to assemble softner. He contacted technicial support and was told that a filter is required to be installed and is sold separately for $150.00. The customer would of paid the same cost of $150.00 for the filter if he purchased with softener or after the fact. Since all the needed parts were not on site a return visit was required which would incur more labor / time costs that were not included with the original $300.00 quote. That quote was given based on 1 time visit with all parts being on site and job being completed at the same time as piping job. RPM was fully prepared to perform both jobs piping & water softner installation unfortunately the customer did not have all the parts on site as he indicated and was quoted. He paid in Full for the piping job and $165.00 of the $300.00 quoted towards water softner installation to cover the technicians time spent on installation. RPM is an honest, reliable company that appreciates and values each and every one of our customers. There was No mistake made on RPM's part, the job would have been completed as quoted with initial visit and done if all parts were on site as customer stated they would be."
"Customer was quoted rates prior to services being done. After work was complete customer was happy with RPM's work but not the cost for repair, RPM's customer satisfaction is our priority that is why we had provided the customer with a $25.00 OFF coupon to be deducted from services rendered after we had learned they were not happy with the price that was charged for services."
"Customer called to have RPM come out and install their supplied attic fans an invoice is issued for all calls RPM does, unfortunately calls may get rescheduled and instead of issuing a new invoice the technician will cross out initial date and write actual serviced date. When the technician installed customers attic fans it took him 1 hour, RPM charges a service / diagnostic charge for all service work (New or replacement equipment estimates are Free) after the service was completed the customer called in to question the bill the office tried to explain there is a service fee then per hourly rate. Customer satisfaction is RPM #1 priority before RPM's CSR was able to inform the customer that since she had said she was not told about service charge we would be willing to split the ($89.00 Fee) with her which is ($44.50) she had hung up on us prior to being given this information. The technician had already issued a $20.00 credit at time of service when the invoice was turned into the office an additional $24.50 credit was issued on customers account for future services. A statement has been emailed to customer reflecting a credit balance of $24.50 on account. RPM does NOT and never has any hidden charges added to customers, we are an honest company that provides quality work at a reasonable price with Customer service being a #1 Priority!
