About us

All General Contractors are Construction Managers, But Not All Construction Managers are General Contractors. Riskas Construction is a third generation, traditional Residential and Commercial Contractor. We peform our own work, with our own men, with our own equipment, and on schedule. When glitches manifest, we have the man power, equipment, and ability to complete on schedule without fail. We do not have to deal with subcontractors working multiple venues with different agendas. We also eliminate tiered mark-ups of hard cost along the way. We have, can, and always will do, whatever it takes, whenever it is required, to complete a project. That is why we always come in on time and on budget. That is Riskas Tradition.

Would strongly NOT recommend John Riskas. When I first met John, I really liked him. Ex-Marine helicopter pilot, showed up in his uniform looking professional, competitive bid quote. On the surface he seemed great. From there it went south. John assured me he did not use sub-contractors - the entire job was nothing but subs, that did not work for Riskas Corp. There were new people on my job almost every week. John has a really bad memory and forgets things, extremely unorganized and frantic. What I soon learned was John is used to doing Commercial construction, not residential work. The attention to detail on finish work is minimal with big corporate companies - with a homeowner like myself we notice all the details - John and his crew do not. This leads to a lot of re-work and expense. John does not communicate well and forgets things. John also has issues paying his subcontractors. If you are crazy enough to hire him, all I can say is make sure you get verification and proof that all subcontractors were paid before you pay your final bill.... you definitely get what you pay for and I would highly suggest hiring somebody else.

John and his team did an efficient and quality job on a home addition. They were respectful and timely in the completion of this project. I would recommend them for any and all of your contracting needs.

John was good and his guys were good. They did the bathroom the way I wanted, kept good communication and did periodic checks. Happy with the process and the results.

I worked with contractors for over 30 years and Riskas Construction are by far the best contractor I have ever dealt with. They are professional and John takes personal pride to make sure that the job gets done correctly.
