I have to hire somebody else to finish the job that I hired and paid Jose to do. Below, I am sharing the event-based story of how this came to be. I hired Jose to remove a tree stump and before the hiring, I clarified that we need the entire tree stump removed because we are preparing for a retaining wall installation. Jose acknowledged this and stated that the entire stump would be removed and that I would see dirt once the job was completed. This was exactly what I needed and hired Jose right then. Jose's team shows up to the job site a few days later and begins to remove the stump. About 1 hour into probably a 3-4 hour job, the stump tech knocks on my door asking for gasoline because the machine is out. I gave them the little that I had and shared that this should be enough to keep them going until I pick up some more gas for them. Once I returned from getting more gas they were gone. Their stump machine and personal vehicles were nowhere in sight. I then inspected the job site and found still a large stump buried under wood chips. They just took the stump down to ground level but this is not what I hired Jose to do, so I called him back and was able to get him to come back about a week later to finish the job. The stump tech and Jose himself came back to finish the job. They worked for a duration that was shorter than expected given the amount of stump that was remaining. Then were in the process of loading up to leave. I caught them before they left and it was the same story. There was still a substantial portion of the stump buried under the exhausted wood chips and after I shared this with Jose he whistled the stump tech to stop the loading process and continued working on the stump. They worked for a bit more time and at this time I was gardening a flower bed near their work trucks. I noticed them walking up and asked if the job had been completed. Jose told me to go check but they had a very large amount of wood chips covering the stump site so took me about 5-10 minutes to find at least some portion of the stump remaining under the area that I was able to uncover. By the time I came back to where Jose had parked, the work trucks were gone. I then called Jose and asked why they left. He claimed the job is done so I attempted to clarify that he told me that I would see dirt but there?s still stump so it cannot be completed. He was persistent on his claim that the job was complete so I probed into the reasons why he believed it was complete and then he hung up on me. I had the retaining wall contractor come out yesterday to evaluate if the stump had been removed enough but it appears that I will have to hire another stump removal service to finish the job.

Jose does outstanding work and beats all others on price.

I used them for power washing my fence, which is made of wood. Great price and great work.
