We hired Rich through Home Advisor. We interviewed several other home builders (outside of home advisor) who told us they couldn't build our house at COST for what our budget allowed (and the bank's appraisal) based on our plan and lot. Rich was not only able to build the house for our budget, but would have come in UNDER budget had WE not added a few things as the build progressed. We lived in another state and had purchased this lot during a visit. We had to have the soil tested, the lot repinned and find the plan we wanted to build. During our first interview we knew we had found our builder because he was more interested in how WE wanted the house built and what amenities/must haves WE wanted in the house, he even made some suggestions that we hadn't even considered but became must haves, as well. We worked with Rich from over 500 miles away using pictures, web links and phone calls to ensure we were all on the same page. We made a few visits during construction and were always pleased with both progress and Rich's "update" pictures to know and understand what was happening and where we were THROUGHOUT the build and AFTER. Rich was always available to us, whether dumb questions, concerns or "hey, can we do this too?" ideas. He is patient, personable, friendly and takes a very personal interest in the build as if it were his own house. This plan and our lot posed some challenges (and expense) that couldn't be forseen, but Rich always made it happen with a minimum of frustration/chagrin. And again, he would have come in UNDER budget despite those challenges. Our HOA was very impressed with the cleanliness and adherence to the HOA rules and went so far as to say "we wish other builders in this development were as conscientious". We had NO contact from the HOA during the build regarding any violations, complaints or issues of any kind! We have since hired him to enclose our porch (just completed timely, in budget and beautifully) and will be having him build our deck in the spring of 2016. If you're from somewhere else and want to have Rich build or remodel a house but can't be there to "oversee" the work, hire Rich and know he'll take care of you.

Work was done in a timely matter, and work area was always clean by the end of the day. They have been back since then to add onto our deck. I have recommended them to friends,and colleagues who have also been pleased.
