Horrible experience - do not hire!!

I have never done a project of this cost or level and I interviewed 4 contractors- 2 recommended by Home Advisor before hiring Rocco Redevelopment. I was very clear this needed to be complete in 5 weeks as the house was EMPTY and he could work as much as possible. They did not finish on time and I am still not using my kitchen - 2 months after start of project. I was also very clear I wanted a certain type of cabinet which he never ordered or installed. We have several discussions about EXACTLY how I wanted the kitchen to be. Since I was not in my home a lot of the work was done while I was not there and when I asked questions he repeated we can fix that -- but it is now clear he had no intention of completing the job. He came late and left early and I finally had to hire someone else when I realized he was going to install my brand new refrigerator without installing a shut off valve for the water feature. Since I have hard wood floors if we have a leak I would have a very expensive mess on my hands. I cannot express how unhappy I was with my experience and cannot recommend this contractor. I have had to follow up ALL the work to make sure it was done correctly and repair the shoddy work. The contractor I had to hire continually finds things not done properly - including electrical which could have been dangerous and hazardous - live wires everywhere that were not capped off. Did not follow through on many things he was supposed to do. Unprofessional and shotty work. Re did water main improperly, doors hung improperly, put in a stove/hood and did not vent the stove. Installed new sink and used an accordion paper pipe under the sink that was totally not functional. I can't use my kitchen. Everything he touched or every time I turn around I find something I have to hire to repair or reinstall. Everything done poorly or incorrectly. I am also missing materials that I purchased. No sense of urgency. Very Unhappy!

These were very personable, yet professional people. They followed up on the service with a personal phone call. I was pleased and impressed.

Kevin and crew did an outstanding job building a small structure in my yard. Very professional and quality work. I will be hiring Rocco Redevelopment for additional work. They are excellent!
