They are scammers, liars, they do not validate their contract. We received nothing from them, no service, no materials, just bull. Spoke with the owner of the company and he does not have the deposit to refund.

After waiting four times as long as I was promised to get the job started I was then confronted by a second appraiser to come out and reappraise only to be told the job is now more than twice as much than the contract was written for. They refuse to make it right and when I demanded my money back they claimed they would and wrote me a bad check. Thankfully, my credit card company is going to dispute this for me, and I might end up having to go to small claims court. This is a horrible company, they refuse to return any of my calls, and when I was shopping around for prices and told them the best price with this company they just shook their head and said I wish you luck with them I heard some horrible things. That I was stupid and wanted to save a buck only to lose a lot more. When requesting a call back they never called me back. They are also writing fake reviews about themselves on every site that they can and on Facebook they were overwhelmed with bad reviews to the point that they made it to where no reviews were allowed to be left anymore. Do a favor and go to a trusted company and not this crooked one.

They were supposed to have my sheetrock done within 3 weeks, Paid a down payment, no work has been done and no product delivered, and that was over 3 weeks ago. No refund of deposit.

"It is obvious the project had a problem from the beginning. We had a salesperson that was not telling the truth to customers. On our end we did not check his practices until he left the company. Please contact us to review they situation."

They basically hired out the project to a stranger to their company, who can do tile fairly well but not much else. They also did not bother to check with me on the progress after literally meeting this guy in my driveway. After complaining, they sent another guy they basically hired out to clean up the mess the first guy made. When they came out for us to sign off on the project, the guy did not even bother to walk in and actually look at the job done by people representing their company name. I Will not make that mistake again and felt the need to share this to prevent someone else from making the mistake. 87832612.

My husband and I hired this company and signed a contact June 8, 2020. We meet with Denise who came to the house to take measurements of the Kitchen, showed us a digital printout of what the Kitchen would look like once completed. Denise was very nice, she wanted us to type up an email with all our item numbers we found for the Kitchen and email it to her. The email was sent to Denise on June 16, 2020. Rock Solid Roofer & Construction contact states it can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks before they start work. Let me tell you that was a LIE it was well over 12 weeks before anyone started work, it was Sept 2, 2020 when someone finally came. PJ the production manager was telling us they had to fire some people for setting up false exceptions for their clients. The item numbers we had original emailed in June were all discontinued, which made my husband and I very frustrated that on one communicated that to us, we had to select different items. (This company work ethics are not transparent meaning everyone is not on the same page) To top it off since they were short staff the workers would be pulled from a current project to head to another one, Why would you allow your workers to start another project when they have not finished the first one. They also need a pricing guide for what we had done we were over priced. Let me tell you about the employees of Rock-Solid Roofer & Construction as followed: 1. Eddie and Vernon -were AMAZING, hardworking, very friendly, and take pride in the work they do. The company needs more workers like this if they want to stay in business. They were the two who handled breaking down the old Kitchen, installing the new cabinets, flooring, painted, hooked up new appliances along with adding the backsplash to the walls and adding the cabinet handles. 2. PJ the production manager-He reached out to use to let us know he will be replacing the other man they let go and provided use with information on the next steps, he was friendly as well. 3. Caleb- Came to the house and went with my husband to pick out a countertop since the 1st one we had was discontinued he was very kind. 4. Daniel the electrician- I do not see how he is an electrician, he kept saying this is an older home and could not do the electric work .The only thing he done was placed a Hugh hole in the wall. Eddie and Vernon had to fix the hole. When Daniel came, he stayed for about 30 mins left and went to another job. We were like how the heck you going to leave from this job to go on another one. (We had two other electricians come out to our home at different times who both said the job can be done, and that Daniel just did not want to do the job). The sad part is we are the ones who paid for an election in our contact with Rock Solid but did not receive the work that was promised that is bad business ethics. Daniel did do part of the electric just did not finish the job. Today is Oct 7, 2020 and Rock-Solid Roofer and Construction has finally completed the Kitchen. This was well worth the wait and we are very pleased with the outcome. Thank you again for your hard work Eddie and Vernon!! Stanley and Kay

I wish I could rate their work, but here we are 15-plus weeks out from signing my contract and they have delivered wood, took down my old dig, and dug three-footer holes. Here is the chronology of my **project** Tuesday, June 23, 2020 I posted my job on HomeAdvisor and Denise with Rock Solid Roofers replied. She came out the next day to give me a quote. Wednesday, June 25, 2020: Officially signed contract to have a deck and screened porch built. Gave the company a payment of ($5,800). Was told at the time that the start date would be anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks depending on the availability of wood. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020: Jeff called weekly from the time I signed the contract to see if I had any questions. On this day with it being 12-plus weeks since I had signed the contract I told him I was running out of patience and was starting to talk to other companies about the job. He said he would have the project manager PJ called me. PJ called me later that afternoon and explained that my job took skills that their staff didnâ t have and he was trying to find a subcontractor to do the work. I told him I do not know why they even tried to get the job through HomeAdvisor if they could not do the work. He said heâ d found a subcontractor and they should be able to start by the end of the week. He said they would come demo the current deck and deliver the supplies. At the point of demo, I was supposed to owe them another... of the total cost, but I told him I would only give him half until I saw some progress. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020: They came on the 17th to demo my old deck and haul away the wood. I also noticed that when they were tearing down the deck, they also broke my cast iron hose wheel in half and apparently hauled half of it off with the wood. Friday, Sept. 18, 2020 They delivered the wood on this day. PJ called to tell me that they delivered the wood, but the contractors were delayed on another job because of rain on the 17th and they would start on Monday. Monday, Sept. 21, 2020 I started working from home on this day, and by mid-day called PJ to see why no workers were at my house yet. He said he thought they were at the house digging the footer holes. I did see a truck drop off more wood for the project. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 About 3:30 p.m., I heard a truck pull up and noticed a couple of workers starting to dig the footers. They got three footers dug before they left. Monday, Sept. 28, 2020 I called PJ to ask him when they planned to return to my house. I left a voice mail message. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 I called again and talked to Caleb who told me PJ was sick. He explained that because my house is on a slope and it it is wet, it is hard to dig. I informed him that I work in the backyard, mow it, etc. and wear cleats. He said he would send out more people on Friday, Oct. 2 to finish digging the footers so they could get them inspected. I told him I was leaving on vacation, but I did have someone watching my house while I was gone. Apparently, they did not show up on Friday, Oct. 2.

"When this customer signed her contract she was told we would build her project in 8 to 12 weeks depending on Materials and weather. During this time period pressure treated wood was not available for 12 weeks. just talk with a lumber yard. All of her materials are setting on her property. She refuses to let us install for her."

I hired Rock Solid to renovate our bathroom. The project was not very complicated: removing a shower/tub combo, install a new walk-in shower, vanities floor. It was only supposed to take 1-2 weeks, but it took 14 weeks to be done satisfactorily. The original crew would not show up on time or at all some days and did not protect the rest of my house from dirt and dust from the construction. They also did not take precautions for my severe allergies even after being told about them. Once everything was mostly done, things looked good from afar but look bad once I took a closer look at things. After the first crew was told not to come back, one of the workers threatened to put a lien on my house even though I never said I was not going to pay. The second crew that can out was better, but bathroom renovations were clearly not their expertise. The third worker to come out was excellent. He talked to me constantly about what needed to be done and made sure I was happy with the work. The project managers did not keep in touch the way I thought they should have. I only talked to them a handful of times. Toward the end, I talked to the owner with my concerns about everything that had happened and did not feel like he was concerned with my opinion. At the end of the project, a bit of a discount was given but not what I would consider sufficient for everything I went through to get this project done. I wish I could give the final worker 5 stars, but the company as a whole deserves so much less.

Signed contract March 26 and was told would start in 2-3 weeks even though contract identified 8 weeks. Was also told would take 2 1/2 â 3 days but no finish date noted in contract. We were told a start date 4 different times with job commencement May 12. It took 3 weeks to complete the jobâ there were 8 days of no call-no show with weather being a factor only one afternoon. They only worked 2 days in a row one time. The crew was a 3 member family with only one person able to work independently so when he could not come, nobody came. They did not utilize tarps during the construction period so a leak developed in the existing roof over our bedroom ceiling. When shingles were applied, they were done incorrectly and had to be entirely replaced. Project manager and owner were made aware of issues and problems throughout the 3 weeks by us through phone call and/or text message but neither visited to see the work being done either during or at end of project. We received a form letter at end of project saying they understood the job went extremely well. Our job took 5 days total (3 for the first shingle application and 2 For the 2nd application) over. 3week period.

"First, we as contractors can only try and do what we can do. Due to the pandemic workers are reluctant to work. Materials are hard to come by. This person signed a contract as she said on March 26th. On the contract it stated that we would start in 3 to 8 weeks, depending on whether or any natural causes. NO ONE TOLD HER WE WOULD START IN 2 TO 3 WEEKS READ THE CONTRACT. This Lady called our office over 20 times to get her job completed. Each time she was told we had to finish other customers first do to the problems with the pandemic. Rock Solid Prides ourselves trying to make our customers satisfied. The old saying you can' t make everyone happy no matter what you do."

After cancelling our contract for non-performance, HomeAdvisor helped us get back most of our downpayment, for which we are grateful.

"Rita & Harry H. // 3** Paine L*** Dr S********86*-62*-9*** They entered into a contract on March 19th 2020. We were to remodel their bathrooms. The contract states that we will start within 3 to 8 weeks. On May 3rd, 2020 we received an email stating they had canceled the contract for lack of work. Under said contract, they only have three days to cancel without penalty. The Truth is we had already started work and had demoed one of her bathrooms. Under her contract, she was to pay progress payment after we demoed her bathroom. She refused to pay and then we stopped waiting for payment. As you can see that she breached the contract and we withheld the amount that we were out for labor and material only. 86*-6**-9***"

took them 7 months to complete the deck. Each week it was a different lie about when they would be working. Part of the contract for the deck was to put in a patio door. The did not do this. Tom said he would reimburse me the $2500 for the door and labor. We have not been reimbursed and now their phone is disconnected.
Response from RS Builders Inc. Facebook
"We entered into contract with this customer to do a kitchen remodel and deck with this customer. The permit department was on holiday hours. After we got the permit, the homeowner kept the inspector by wanting them to approve the owners building ways. After that, we got 7 months of rain, homeowner wanted the crews to work in the rain. Then the homeowner wanted a refund for the patio door. I offered the refund after a final completion from was signed. Homeowner refused and we have gotten a final letter of completion from the building inspectors office."

We hired this company to build a large deck with lattice work and a DOOR to get to the crawl space entrance underneath. I was quoted $15000 for the entire job. We were told would start construction in 2 weeks. It took over 6 weeks to get the permits!!! This was NOT the fault of our association as we were in constant touch with them. When the crew showed up they said they could not build around the existing smaller deck as promised. Which now hiked the price up by $2000... So here we go... Dan who is SUPPOSEDLY the best crew started the work. His entire crew were inexperienced FAMILY!!! They used low grade wood full of splits and knots, missed half of the boards with the screws. Was told the lattice work and door were not in the contract. Was told if I gave them a good review they would do for free. Well, I waited on the review till now because I know we would end up with more issues. Dan came back because the top stair was 10 inches (ca. 25 cm) which he stated he knew!!!! They pretty much Jerry rigged the stairs it looks like crap. The rail posts at the bottom of the stairs are not even cemented in the ground and are spreading apart. We now have the vertical spindles on the stairs are loose, the crap job he did of putting up the lattice work all the wood (what little there is) has fallen down and all the cheap uneven lattice work has come down. I have had other people put up decks at my previous houses with premium wood for thousands less and a MUCH better job. Now having said all of this I will give them one last chance to correct all of this. If not then this review will stand and I will be doing some reporting to associations, building inspectors, BBB etc.
