Dakoda came to my home, he was very friendly and he gave me an estimate with 50% down, he said we needed other parts due to having an outdated garage door, so I gave him more money (thinking I was getting a fair deal) he took my money, and hasnâ  t answered my call and my attorney will be in touch with him soon. He took $725 and changed his phone number and hasnâ  t been in touch with me since. He will be hearing from me soon, and I advise anyone else to go elsewhere and donâ  t end up like I did.

Dakota from Rock Star Garage Door Repair came to my house and gave me an estimate for 610.00 to repair my garage door opener stating it need a new motor. He said it would take one month to get the motor and he required 50 percent down to get it started. He notified me a little less than a month and we scheduled an appt for May 18th.at 10am and At 4pm he said the tech would not be there until 4:30 pm and I told him I could not be there so we rescheduled. On the rescheduled date at 10:30 a half our after appt he told me the guy would be there between 1pm and 3pm. Around 30 minutes before scheduled arrival he called me and told me the guy would only accept cash no checks or credit cards and I paid the deposit with a check that was cashed. I told him I did not have the cash available at home and did not have the time to go get cash and even if I did I would not do business that way. Reputable business do not do business that way, they will accept checks or credit cards. He told me he would drop the motor by my house. I told him I did not want the motor, I did not have any way to put it in, I wanted a refund. He initially said he would not give me a refund but called me the next day and told me he was putting money order in the mail that was around 05/28/21. By 06/07/21 I still had not received anything and I asked for a tracking number and he said he did not have one that he would check with the bank and the postal service. on 06/12/21 I called him again I asked him what he found out and he said it was in Collinsville post office as of Friday so i figured I would have it the next week. on 06/16/21 I still had not received it and I texted him and he told me he had cancelled it and he would have a check and drop it off in my mail box along with a typed letter from my attorney either Friday or Monday. Nothing was dropped in my mailbox. On 06/21/21 I texted him I did not receive anything and he did not respond. On 06/30/21 I had the repair done by another company and they charged me 227.00 instead of 610.00 that he quoted me there was nothing wrong with the motor, they replaced the circuit board and the installer told me that any reputable company would have know that was what it needed and he told me he thought it was a scam.
