Rocky Mountain Clean Air

Under no circumstances would I recommend this company to anyone. We had a cleaning service done back in October of last year and they have yet to come back and repair the holes they left in our ventilation system. And thats just part of the story. Over the phone I was quoted over $200 and when the technician arrived i was quoted over$1000. The job was only suppose to last 3 hours, however, when you take 2-45 minute breaks, that starts to add up. Upon completion, the technician showed me the check list and admittedly did not take pictures post job as he was supposed to. In my opinion, it was because my husband wasnt home. I would have asked him to take them anyway, but after he took so long, I needed to tend to my family and needed him and his equipment out of our house. He lost screws to our vents, he left a dirty vacuum bag on our porch and again, didnt patch the holes he put in our ventilation. I followed up post job and asked him to return to patch the holes as he should have upon completion of the job. They didnt schedule him for another 3 weeks. Once 3 weeks arrived, they cancelled. This happened 4 times. The last time, they called me at 4:30pm and said if I didnt call back in 30 minutes to confirm our appointment, they were cancelling. Who does that? We naturally didnt get the message until after 5, my husband called then and left a message. Its been crickets ever since. Dont do it.

Just be sure to have an estimate before having them come out.

Big price surprise with additional up-sell items. Sounded like what we wanted towards having as clean air as possible. Work was good and the foreman, Chris, was helpful and explained the effort. Was promised an electrostatic filter in 2 weeks from on-site service. 3-weeks later, I called Chris. Lots of calls back and forth with Chris, took additional 6 weeks to actually get the filter. Seems the shipping department did not get the address correct. Only stumbled into it after getting a tracking number. With all the extra time I spent, I asked for a reasonable refund. Chris said he would communicate with the main office. Not sure he did, because I finally called the office to be told *we offer no refunds*. Implied: ever, for anything. I would recommend any other provider.

The technician did not call or come on time. He was 2 hours late but did a thorough job.

Be careful if you use these guys. They price by the number of vents, but the price does not include cleaning the main ducts. After cleaning lines to vents they say that cleaning mains will be hundreds more. Know what you are buying up front.

Technician did not instill a sense of knowledge or comfort. We should have been told when booking that everything needed to be moved away from the ducts (he said he would not move anything, even plants). After he had cleaned a few of the ducts he presented us with his plan for completing the work = almost $900, stating there was a lot of debris in our system (he didn't show me a single picture of any of our ducts to support this, and when I indicated that I wasn't interested in his up-sell he pulled out the big guns and said that we had mold and mites in our ducts and we should have them wash out our system and have it cleaned with an antibacterial, AND that he would recommend installing a black-light in our main trunk line to kill the bacteria he had stirred up and the total cost would be almost $1500. I should have thrown him out of our house immediately but I had agreed to pay almost $200 for the basic cleaning so I let him finish. It bothers me that any company would prey on customers and use fear to up-sell their services. I can not in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.

Do not use this company! Classic bait and switch on their advertising. Coupon says only $7 per vent /return but.... After 1 hour of service, tech said had to prepare paperwork ... thought this was strange as most of the vent were not done. He returned with new bill - for another $1000 in addition to $168 we agreed to before start of work! Said we have 4 more main trunks at $89 more each - he knew this before starting but did Not include them until revised bill! And More - New bill added sanitizing the system and UV filter for bugs, droppings, dust, pet hair and more? And we could pay one time fee to sign up for yearly maintenance for even more! Really?

Rocky Mountain Clean Air was contacted to clean all of the ducts in my home. They said it will take several hours, however, it took less than 1. Strange I thought, but if the work was done, that is all I cared about. Unfortunately, the work was not completed and it was only discovered that was the case upon removal of vents for a painting project soon after. The ducts were completely filthy. I paid $126 for nothing. In addition, they tried to sell me additional services that exceeded $1,200 and told me that there was mold in my furnace (which was confirmed to be untrue). According to the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA), this price is exorbitant.

Nick worked very hard. It took a very long time, and for 3 days afterward i had to vacuum the floor in front of every hot air vent, there were pieces of white fluff ,etc. there. I suspect that the company machine was too full and wasn't cleaning well toward the end, because the hose had to be emptied into a garbage bag before he left.

Apparently cleaned the vent OK. But reinstalling the plenum left us with a kinked unit we have to redo.

They were very good.

He worked very hard and I am very happy with the work he did! He made sure our vents got clean NICK P. We had very dirty old vents and he took his time. Such a nice man I would use him again and I recommend him. Cares about his work.! Its been 20 years since I found someone who works as good as him. OUTSTANDING! We would hire him to do anything he's great Thank you very much we are going to cook you a great dinner! Keep in contact!

I would highly recommend this company. Nathan did an excellent job cleaning our furnace and all of our vents. He is very polite, explained the process and answered all of my questions. He is extremely hard working and never even took a break. He was very clean, wore booties and made sure he picked up any debris that may have fallen when the vents were removed. I think their pricing is very fair compared to other quotes we received. We will definitely use Rocky Mountain Clean Air again.

My service tech Nick was amazing, great personality and great communication. Explained his job and what he did to my system very well. Will always recommend to friends and family.

Home advisor recommended Rocky Mtn for dryer vent cleaning. Made appt of Sat between 3-6. Got call at 3:30 he was on the way. Got call 4:00 he had to take care of something and had to reschedule for Monday. He came on Monday at noon. The bill was already made out for $199.00 when he walked in the door. I was told it would be $89 to $199 depending on the length on the vent. He wheeled in vacuum without putting any floor covering on my rug. He left the screen door open as well as the door so my indoor cat ran out. He unplug medical monitors to plug in his vacuum. He wore is earplugs the whole time. Annoyed he had to take them out to hear and answer my questions. Only vacuumed from the inside vent, only brushed the vent from the outside. I asked for 10% discount for my inconvenience of him not being able too make it on Saturday and he said no. I would not recommend Rocky Mtn or Home Adviser for any project. He was here for exactly 22 minutes from the time he walked in the door and walked out. Very disappointed with service.

Project: Clean Heating & Cooling Air Ducts & Vents The work done was thorough and excellent. Good clean up and finish work. They were great to work with. The price seemed very high for this first cleaning and full service, and that was not clear when I first called them. Repeat cleanings in the future (which will now be less work) are guaranteed to be more as I expected.
