When you get over the initial shock that an unwanted "guest" is living in your house, you wish there was a 911 you could call. Well, calling Rodent Solutions is the next best thing!! Not only did these guys come over and diagnose our problem right away, they fit us into their already busy schedule and got right to work on solving the problem, which they did quickly, neatly and professionally! These guys are not only experts in their field, there're just real nice guys too!! I would use them again (even though I hope I don't have too!) and would recommend them to anyone!

This past Spring, we had a rat infestation in our attic. We had traps up in the attic and we were catching them, but we had 3 companies at different times come over and check our roof for holes that the rats were getting in through - they all said that we were "good' - yet we continued to get rats. Eventually we found Rodent Solutions on the Web (they are based out of Bradenton FL.). James Knight, the owner, came down to Venice to perform an inspection. James mentioned that he was a builder before the crash (in the housing market here in Florida). He said that our house was a simple construction and that there was no way that he would not be able to find the access point. James went onto the roof and took numerous photos and showed us three possible access points, one of which he believed, was the the one. He explained how his company fixes these holes by removing the tiles and installing a metal sheet over the whole area around the roof joints and then putting the tiles back. The companies that we had been using were stuffing foam into the holes only above the tiles and not under. Rats can eat their way through the foam. We were impressed with what James explained and showed us, and also with the 1 year guarantee (to back up their work). We engaged them. After the holes were all sealed and the remaining rats in the attic caught - that was the end of our infestation. The rat infestation had resulted in a urine smell in our guest bathroom and this smell was persistent - we went through numerous different types of treatments - some worked a bit better than others but the smell persisted - even after having all the insulation removed. We then had an enzyme treatment that helped - but still the smell persisted. James’s team had mentioned that the exhaust fan air duct was not exhausting through the roof - the duct was just pointed over to the soffit area (we thought that the rats were living in the duct). We had the duct removed and then a new one ducted out through the roof - again the smell improved a bit but still persisted. James found an industrial strength solution that works on strong odors. He treated the area over our small bathroom and that made a significant improvement but the smell still persisted. We requested that he do another treatment and that did the trick. This has been an ordeal not just for us but also for James and his team, however, through it all he stuck with us. He was going to see this problem resolved and not leave us in the lurch. Found out it was not a rodent but a palm branch making the noise. They refused to charge me anything. More contractors should be like them
