Rodriguez Concrete did an excellent job on building my 12â x 36â concrete slab. They kept me informed of construction delays due to weather. They coordinated with the city building inspector to schedule for the permit and they cleaned up daily.

So far so good on the new patio addition. I was done in a timely manner and all the Rodriguez family was very nice. We love our new addition to the patio.

Do not clean after themselves still have mud in my yard waiting for them to come and pick it up, I told them about in various occasion and still without get it done.

Roy Rodriguez knows concrete. Highly professional and honest. He the best I have had do a project with. He crew was highly skilled and knew what needed to be done. I will definitely call him again on my next project.

Did a good concrete job on my added driveway, However, their clean-up afterwards was not as good as it could have been. Had them do some more clean-up, but they still left some concrete spillover on my original driveway.

DO NOT HIRE RODRIGUEZ CONCRETE!!! After voicing my concerns to Roy Rodriguez (owner) he assured me that it is standard procedure to pour concrete on top of your grass without digging or adding compactable material for sub-base. Instead of rock or crusher fine, he removed the sod from the yard with his tractor and placed it over the grass where the patio was going to be. It was later explained to me that this would create a sponge effect leaving the slab nothing firm to be poured on so settling and cracking was expected. Also the rebar was placed anywhere from 18" to 22" on center instead of 12" on center as per the contract he wrote. Rebar dowels that were drilled into the existing structure were 45" apart instead of 24" and in many places the rebar was buried in loose dirt instead of suspended on chairs. The patio in the back yard had no forms where it met the privacy fence, instead the rebar extended all the way to the fence planks. I guess they intended to pour concrete using the fence as a concrete form. All of these concerns were brought to Roy Rodriguez's attention and were dismissed with little more explanation than, "we've done it that way before, it's fine". It seemed incorrect so I had the city inspector take a look at the flat work as well as 2 other concrete contractors. The consensus was that Rodriguez did the job incorrectly and that it likely wasn't something that you mistakenly do. Rodriguez would not admit that anything was wrong even though I had a signed statement from the city inspector with a list of corrections required to pass inspection. He would not contact me or return my calls for days until I called him from a different number. He was very rude over the phone and when presented with an ultimatum - either correct the work and finish the job or refund me my $2200 deposit. He guaranteed me the it was "his money now" and that I would not get a refund. He said that he would fix it but instead he fixed the rebar masking the underlying problems. I stopped him from doing any further work so we could discuss the expectations for this job, as I wanted it done correctly. I even printed a list of things that needed to change prior to any concrete being poured. Roy then told me that it would cost more money to do it right. Again I demanded a refund minus a day's wages for placing the flatwork and stipulated that he come and take his rebar and forms when he returns my remaining deposit. He refused, so i said if you refuse to refund my money then I must get the $2200 worth of work out of you so fix the mistakes and finish the job as I wasn't going to let him walk away with my deposit and nothing to show for it but a messed up yard. He continued to ask for more money and finally I told him to write it up. I wanted to know just how much it would cost me to be done with this and get rid of this guy! He never came back with a new quote and despite my frequent calls, he never contacted me to discuss it further. Inst
