What a nightmare experience. We hired them to regrade and sod our backyard, to help address the erosion problems we were having. Since this nightmare, I have had several other landscaping professionals out to get help fixing this, since Roland Grading has not. First, they graded the yard wrong, but that is not the worst part - they laid 2 different types of sod. I ordered only Zoysia, it was itemized in the invoice. A section of the backyard has been laid with Bermuda. It is a plain as day that 2 types of sod were laid in the backyard, yet Art Roland claims that we are lying, despite him admitting the mistake and telling us that he would fix it. And this is not even the worst part. While doing the work, they broke the drain pipes that were buried in the yard. At the time they repaired the breaks but their repairs did not hold. They came out 2 weeks later to start the repair of one of the breaks, but there are 2 other areas in my yard that 6 1/2 weeks later they have not been fixed, despite promises of going to make it right. They also hung a gutter off my deck wrong and it has broken. Repeated empty promises of fixing this as well. They also seeded an area in my front yard that has not started to grow. They are aware of all these issues. They have come out several times to check and verify the issues that they created. I have been promised countless times that they will come and fix this and make it right. I have been told days and times when they would be coming and planned my day around this only to have them not show and no phone call or text. My negative post on Yelp got a response from Art who instead of trying to make it right let us know that he is washing his hands of the job. My suggestion is avoid Art Roland and Roland Grading.

From the other fourteen reviews following this one on this page, you can see that we usually do our best on each job we do and succeed. These are just a small example of the total customers that we have served since our company was formed in 2018. Art Roland has been doing grading work, etc, i.e. operating equipment for over 15 years. He is certified in Erosion Control. We work all over the Atlanta/North Atlanta/Gainesville/Athens area. There are days when it seems that every possible thing will happen from the equipment breakdowns, to the weather, etc. to keep us from getting the jobs completed and in a timely manner. Just an explanation why a job might not get completed on the day we originally scheduled. Our company office could speak with anyone at anytime about these jobs and/or issues. Never once was I contacted here at the office by Ms. Joyce D. about her situation. My phone (xxx-xxx-xxxx) is on 24/7 to answer calls. Also, we have a company email that is published: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xxxxx.xxx to which I have never received an email from her. I would highly recommend Art and his crew for any landscaping grading jobs small or large. He personally surveyed the job even, after I sent him pictures and I was actually surprised at his very reasonable price, for bringing in a dozer and hauling off all the debris in a dump truck. And I am really tight with my money. He cleared out a wooded area 20 yards but 30 yards without disturbing are dogwoods and sloped it just right. The only problem was the ground was more wet and saturated which became muddy . Which was a little bit of a issue for him , but he made it happen, by spending more time than he had had allotted. These guys were great. They were very knowledgeable and were able to grade and seed my 5000 sq ft yard in less than a day. The price was reasonable and they were easy to work with. They also guarantee their work so if I have any problems, they'll come back out and fix it. So far, that hasn't been necessary, but it's nice to know I have the option.
