$530/HOUR for 2 people. That is what I ended up paying Roman Electric. Facts: They came out and described a difficult and convoluted process needed to rewire my boiler (furnace) to a new circuit. They gave me an estimate of approximately $960 for the work. I signed the estimate, thinking this is going to take all day. What actually ended up happening was that they found an empty conduit already in place in my basement that led all the way from the breaker box to the boiler. They simply had to send 2 wires through that conduit, install a new breaker in the box and then hook it all together. They arrived at 11:16 AM and left at 12:53 PM. (Time stamped CCTV.) That is is 1 hour and 37 minutes. (Parts: one 15 amp breaker, two wires no more than 50 ft each, and some wire connectors.) I called the next day to try to discuss a fair solution and I told them that $450/hour seemed excessive. She said they do not charge by the hour and that I would have to talk to the manager to resolve the issue. She transferred me and I left Anthony a voicemail to call me back. Next business day I called and left Anthony another vm. Next business day, another vm for Anthony. He NEVER called me back. OPINION: They got their money and that is all they care about. They completely scammed me and they are good at it so they are just going to keep doing it, unless YOU STOP THEM. I do not write this review lightly. I thought about it and I thought about what they did and I do not want to let them keep doing that to people. I would rather have been robbed on the street. I would feel less like a fool for being taken advantage of in my own home. Who charges OVER $530/ hour and feels ok with that?
