Recently had a very bad experience with this company. The HVAC technician messed up our routine fall maintenance so that we had no functioning furnace during the coldest part of winter. The next tech compounded the problem twice. We had NO heat for almost 2 weeks and below freezing temps outside. Indoor temp never got above 40 degrees. We were in SoCal when a pipe burst. Now they say it isn't their fault. REALLY? This company has gone down the s...hole. Stay as far away from them as possible.

AC/Heat Pump was not running. Bowdy from Ponderosa Heating came out the same day and had our unit back up and running in minutes. He also gave our entire Furnace and AC a courtesy inspection to make sure everything was working properly. If you are in need of fast, friendly and professional help I would definitely recommend Ponderosa and ask for Bowdy if you’re in the central OR area

Early April signed up for service club membership for a rental I have, "to include 2 visits per year". They did the initial visit a week later but charged me $318. Bottom line: they do 2 visits per year as part of the service club...BUT NOT THIS ONE. Classic bait and switch. Dispute is ongoing. Last year they did a routine seasonal visit. Knocked something loose in the heat pump. No HVAC for a week while it took them 2 visits to figure out what they did. Had a new system installed about 1 year ago. Asked the guy to describe how the gas furnace and heat pump worked together. What he described was not what I observed. 2 visits later, he called the manufacturer to find out I was correct and he was wrong. Doesn't even know how his product works? 3 strikes, they are out.

Larry was great. He made the replacement quickly and was able to help me get the wifi set up on my phone and computer. He was also quite knowledgeable about the different kinds of this type of thermostat and was able to guide me to the best solution for my needs. He took plenty of time to explain everything and answer all of my questions about the thermostat and my heating/cooking system. Great to work with him.
