Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup - Austin

I don?t have money for services I was tricked into getting. I will Never use R3 again and I'm letting the world know. A supervisor, Anthony Segura, came to my house while was having a leak from my garbage disposal repaired and one pipe replaced under. That costs me almost $900. He told me that my insurance was going to cover the water mitigation and talked me into having that horrible dehumidifier machine placed in my house for a week. I asked repeatedly to have that machine removed after the 2rd day because it was freaking my dogs. Anthony and the technician refused saying it would affect the insurance claim (cost over $1,600). I was lied to! I was told that if my insurance did not approve my claim, he would gather the equipment and there would be no charge. ?Don?t worry? he said and to trust him. My insurance DENIED the claim and I am stuck with a big bill. Advice; Do Not Allow Them To Start Work on your home until it is approved by your insurance company.

Elderly Abuse …. Run I woke up to a leak in my front yard as I headed out of town. My wife called Roto Rooter as she left for work to come give us a quote. They said they only needed someone there to greet them when they arrived. So we had my 85 year old, legally blind, suffering from dementia mother, who lives next door, meet them outside so they could begin with their estimate. They never called us for a quote. Instead he replaced one section of pipe (which was only 4 ft. long), and a shut off valve (which he said was broken but was not) and charged a whopping $6,500. He walked next door and demanded payment from my blind mother. NO APPROVAL WAS GIVEN!!!! NO PHONE CALL WAS MADE!!! My mother, who isn’t mentally with us anymore, gave them her credit card and boom…… $6,500. We didn’t get a new water heater or a new sprinkler system. We got one 4 ft. section of pipe for $6,500 and a shiny new on/off valve which was not needed. That guy new what he was doing. He didn’t call us for a reason. He took one look at my blind old mom with dementia and charged whatever he wanted. He left us an arbitrary bill I could hardly read with little to no specifics. I have attached…. When I called the manager he did return half of the amount. It sounded like we were making progress. I still asked for an itemized receipt so I could see how 4 ft. of pipe and a valve would cost $3,250. If I stayed in town this repair would have cost me a total of $75 dollars in materials. He said he would get that itemized receipt and then has ghosted me ever since. I have reached out on numerous occasions. This company did not have permission to do $6,500 or $3,250 worth of work on my property. They were called for an estimate and took advantage of my elderly, blind, dementia plagued mother to run up a huge bill that no one can explain. They demanded that my mother, who isn’t the homeowner, pay $6,500. My wife waited by her phone all day for an estimate that never came. This is morally and ethically appalling at every level. Just for reference, we had our foundation lifted for $9,000 last year. They dug under the house in several areas and lifted it. This guy wanted about the same for replacing a 4 ft. section of pipe. How is this real????

Repair Leak, Next day it Leak, They Repair it & Said If it leaks again It can not be repaired, Next day it Leak Worst, Notice the 2nd repair the rubber Tips were Crimp like it was the wrong size installed ,They Carged me $49.92 for 2 rubber Tips & $310.00 Labor Total Bill $364.09 , I Called the office was refered to Manager no HELP, Why Did they Did not told me from the Start That it could not be fix , Aret they Proffesional ?, Why did they Keep the money for a repair that was never done , Posting this , Warning you Could also lose your money , Stay away !!!!

Work was prompt, speedy and professional. GREAT COMMUNICATION. Came right away to fix a minor problem. We were very satisfied. Bid was very competitive too.

Tommy knew exactly what to do. At the cleanout pipe, he started the "rootering" process, and before too long all of the major sludge balls were found and flushed into the septic tank. Awesome. Water flowed freely once again.

Great. The work was done quickly and efficiently.

I had to practically beg for someone to come over. At first, they said within 4 hours. Then the day after. Then no one showed up. I had to threaten to cancel so that they put me to "next available". The guy who did (Jesus) was very professional and solved our problem.

They fixed the sink by fixing some part on it, no replacement part was given, and charged me an excessive amount for labor ($195) and the tank replacement in the bathroom---I provided the parts and I was charged $285 labor for that. They were here for less than an hour and we're out $480. And they also left a mess. I was not happy about that. I cannot believe the cost and then to leave behind a mess in my bathroom. Unacceptable.

They came out and said there wasn't anything they could do for me.  They didn't do the work.

The professional from Roto Rooter took 11 hours to complete his job. Did not gave us any heads-up or range $ that is going to cost us. Roto Rooter apparently charge 100% markup on the appliances bought thru them- $926k water heater cost should cost me $1800 if bought thru Roto. I was not told anything about it. After 11 hours the invoice came to be $4,864.64. The job was just a replacement of a residential water heater with a new one that cost me $4.8k. They charged me $1450 labor charge. I have never faced such bad service in my entire life.

They were not forth coming about the price and ended up putting a unit that was much more expensive than what they initially quote. They called to tell me it will be more expensive but failed to mention that it will be a 3 times more. Also they charged us 11 hours for a job that should take 4-5. And finally in bill of materials they had $1000 of material that they NEVER what those parts could be for a water heater. Never got an explanation for that. Horrible service and very deceitful that

Very well! Luckily they found the blockage passed my property line into the city sewers, so they contacted SAWS immediately for them to come out the same day and get the blockage removed.
