Rowan Tree Care

We had a large wild Cherry tree that needed to be removed. We had it taken down and the wood was so beautiful we wanted to take three large pieces to a lumber mill. However we could get no help with this, until we contacted Rowan Tree Service. They came and did a great job of loading the large trunk sections without damaging our yard, then transported and safely delivered them to the mill. Overall they gave outstanding service!

This company offers expert work at a reasonable price. They removed two large, old maples from my front yard. They were forced to work from a moderately busy road, but managed traffic handily while performing an excellent job. Their cleanup was fantastic leaving the area clear of all debris and residue. Highly recommend them!

Ed and his crew did excellent work pruning the large maples in front of our school. They completed the work on time including cleaning up the area. We are very pleased with the work they did and plan to have them quote/perform additional work at our Church property.

In my opinion, Rowan Tree Care is the first and only tree service one would need to call.

We hired this company based on Angies List recommendation and trusting that they would be reputable. However, after paying the deposit on August based on the promise that they would be here to do tree work on the first week of October, then they did not show up, we waitied until the 3rd week in October to call and find out what was going on. We were told they were sorry and we were the next job and they would be here at October 30th or the first week of November. Never showed up a second time, they wanted to come in December which did not work for us as it was 2 months outside of our requested and agreed upon time. We requested a refund and they refused, were very rude, told me they had a family to feed, that we had a job and he only had a small business. I told him we wold leave a negative review, and he said he did not care, many people had done that and he said it did not matter to him. Do not trust this company, do your research in other places as well which I wish I had done. They took our money and have a history of doing the same to others if you check their reviews.

Ed and his crew were great. They are very professional and fair priced. I was very satisfied with the pruning they did with a few trees around my house. I was very fortunate that they were able to come out so quickly. Definitely consider them if you have some trees that need tending.

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Ed Sheffey for a consultation. Appointment time was 10am, he showed up at 9:50am. Let me know what sets his company apart is his certification as an Arborist, and he is a US Veteran! When he was helping me with the tree of concern, he pointed out my trees in the back. I thought maybe he would look to see if his business could help me with the trees in the back, but actually never mentioned his business in the backyard. Rather he explained and helped me with how to properly prune, as well as what to expect out of the trees as they grow. Really made me feel like he honestly just wanted to help me instead of just selling me the services his company offers. Best $25 I ve spent in awhile!

Ed and his crew are true professionals! I am very satisfied with their service and unlike most tree service companies these guys are HONEST! They could have easily milked me out of hundreds of dollars for extra service with me not being the wiser, but they did not. I will recommend these guys to anyone and I WILL! My wife is a real estate agent and she will do the same to any client that needs tree service in the future. Thank you Ed, and the rest of your crew, you do great work!

One of the things that needed attention at our new home was the yard and the trees. A Japanese Maple overhanging our front walk needed shaping and pruning to above head height. Another tree need pruning to remove some crossed branches to prevent disease down the road. Sometime in the past, a branch had broken off low on our pear tree, and decay had set in. It was too far gone to save, so it needed to come out. In addition to the trees, we had rootballs from four clumps of Japanese knotweed that needed to come out. They were at the top of a fairly steep slope and were too much for us to handle ourselves. Rowan Tree Care was here Saturday, and did a great job of fixing our problems. The trees look so much better, as does the bed where the knotweed was. Ed, Bo, and the crew were great to work with, very personable. They did a great job of cleaning up the work zones, to the point that you wouldn't know they'd been here. We have more work in the planning stages, and they'll be our go-to guys. Thanks for a job well done, Ed!

Prompt, professional, and well priced!

Ed and his team removed a very large tree for us that was hanging over our detached garage. They showed up when they said they would and were very professional. Safety for himself, his crew and our property were high on his priority list. Their work was done with precision and great care. They left our property in great shape-really good clean up. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing trees removed.

Ed and his crew removed 7 large treees for us, ground the stumps, and leveled and reseeded the area. So pleased with their professionalism and attention to detail. They communicated with us every step of the way. We were never left hanging.

Did a great job taking down a tree with multiple electrical wires in the branches, close to the house and deck. Very difficult to pin them down to a specific date to remove tree. Dropped a heavy limb on the deck breaking one board. Promised to repair the damage. Started to make repairs but didn't finish. After repeated emails, I hired a contractor a month later to finish repairs. Promised to reimburse me the $40.00 for repairs. Did not.

Hired them last winter to take down two dead ash trees and remove the dead wood from an old maple. Work went satisfactory and clean up was good. This summer after the maple tree leafed out I noticed a large dead section. Ask them to come out and take the dead section out. They said all they would do is come give me an estimate.

Very disappointed with the way they left our yard and took out a big part of a Scarlet Maple we have had for about ten years. Contacted company and they said they were sorry. We may have to take it down if it can't recover. Now we have to spend more money to fix our yard and the tree . Not happy!!

they did what they said they would do and a little extra and performed the job quickly and professionally. they cleaned up after and made look like it was before they came out. i am going to hire them again in the fall.

Rowen did good job getting tree down but did not stick to contract. The company in contract stated they would take tree down, cut into manageable rounds and place in a pile. That didn't happen. The company brought tree down then left laying across my driveway and other part across my yard. It was only half way cut through. We would have been in a lot trouble or out more money if husband didn't own a chainsaw. we had to finish cutting rounds ourselves and move all wood into pile. They didn't stick to contract and never provided partial credit for not completing the job. Very unhappy with incomplete service and wouldn't recommend anyone to use their service.

Joe and the team at Rowan Tree Care are true professionals. They showed up on time, worked tirelessly and cleaned up after completing their job. I will certainly hire them again when I have tree work that needs to be done.

Excellent work from a great company. They cut down 8 large pine trees on a very steep bank with power lines running through one of the trees. The cleanup was exceptional and way better than I could ever imagine. They go above and beyond to get the job done and to please the customer. Excellent crew who are very friendly and are very hard workers. One of the best tree cutting crews I have ever seen. Great pricing and even greater work. I will definitely use them again in the future. If you need tree work, do not waste your time calling other people, call Ed and crew. You will not regret it.
