These people are cheats. They have no idea how to do the work they promised. Totally unprofessional and folks who lie to cover their ineptitude. Beware. We are working with a attorney to recoup funds which we had to borrow as we are on a fixed income. Dwayne walked off the job. A 3 week (promised timeline) took 3 MONTHS. Many issues from mechanical to drawers not operating properly, surfaces staining, gaps where the cabinets should butt up. He was verbally abusive. Late or no-shows. Left a mess. We hate our decision to use them and Hate our kitchen.

We hired the husband and wife team (Dwayne & Dani) to reface our kitchen cabinets. At first, they were great. Then came the problems. They missed their deadlines and called off due to a fire and weather, (twice due to weather. One day it was only a half of inch of snow). They took excessive breaks (both are smokers). The project went on for weeks and weeks! Finally, they crammed all the final work in one day, just to get paid (they stayed in our home until 10:30pm!). I was away on business so my poor wife was stuck dealing with them late into the evening! My wife was exhausted and they performed a quick walk-through with her. My wife paid them in full (HUGE MISTAKE!). Many issues were missed (corner molding, failing to paint parts of the cabinet bases, cooked cabinets, shoddy work on one cabinets (huge gaps), and much more. We contacted them the next day to have them finish and amend their missed and shoddy work. The husband came out and said "I need to order the molding." I will be back. He and his wife never came back! They ignored my wife's dozens and dozens of attempts (of attempts) to contact them through their business phone and email. Finally, we threatened taking this to another level, the wife called us and said that her husband had cancer and asked for more time while he went through chemotherapy. We granted that time and since then, he has recovered and they never contacted us. Their behavior is inexcusable! They came out and bid on the project. They were very nice and made all sorts of promises about their work. In their bid I asked them specifically "What happens if you (the husband) gets ill or passes away? He, the husband said "My Dad would finish the work with my wife." The Dad is the founder of the business. That was why we went with them. WE EVEN REMINDED THEM OF THAT PROMISE in many of the attempted calls and emails to Dwayne and Dani. They had our money, they couldn't have cared less! So, we are in the process of trying to find another cabinet refacing company to finish and amend their shoddy and incomplete work. They spoke of commitment, integrity and honesty when the bid the project. They turned out to be quite the opposite. They have since abandoned the name Royal Cabinet Refacing and are operating under a new name. Our only hope here is two scenarios. 1. Take them to court and recoup some of our money. 2. Hope that the Dad, that started the business and may be connected to the new endeavor, reads this. If you are thinking of hiring this husband and wife team, even under their new name, BUYER BEWARE! You can't say you weren't warned.
