Royal has failed to complete roof repairs properly and has stopped returning any correspondence at this point. My patio roof is still leaking and they will no longer return calls or texts. In 2015, my roof was determined by my insurance company to need a replacement. Drew Ratly, owner of the company, got the contract to replace the roof on my garage, house, back patio and a carport. The house and garage turned out looking great with no leaks to speak of! The back patio and carport are another story. He suggested simply covering the existing roofing of the patio; taking his advice, I agreed. It's leaked ever since. He's sent several people out and even come out himself to "fix," the leaks to no avail. The carport was never touched. After a few attempts to fix the patio cover, he started ignoring my contact attempts. I finally made a BBB complaint; after that, he contacted me, asking if I wanted to "Step out into the front yard and settle this like men," and asking if I had "Boxing gloves or something," Later, he said he was just kidding and showed up to look at the patio roof. Stating that pine needles laying on the patio roof caused the leaks, he proceeded to do some sort of sealing and left, so far not returning, claiming that I should be happy with the work that was done. I've had other contractors look at the patio roof and tell me that not only was the material was installed incorrectly, but the wrong fasteners were used and this was causing the leak and suggest that the whole roof of the patio would need to be torn off and rebuilt. Here in 2017, Mr Ratley has yet to complete his work (carport roof still not touched) or fix the work he has attempted on the back patio.
