Hal is a great technician! He explained every detail and made sure I understood how to operate the WIFI thermostat before he left. He made a lot of good recommendations regarding service plans and I felt that he gave me great advice and service!

If all HVAC companies charge $60 for a service call, then for the person's time, change that rating to 5, though I think that's much too high. The problem was a snake had slithered into he wrong part in the outside unit. The service man found this unusual situation almost immediately and actually had the (outrageously priced) replacement part. He said he checked the rest of the unit. He did not waste a minute, reported all, was very professional and nice. One could not ask for more in a service man. One could ask for better pricing ($220) I think.

The $60 is for our trip charge - it includes travel time and diagnostic time. The part that was replaced is an American Made Part and comes with a 5 year warranty through us. Many HVAC companies use cheaper parts from China, but we do not and pride ourselves in using better made parts that last longer and can save you $ in the long run. Thank you for using us! We appreciate your business!

I had some problems with them but it was resolved by the company owner. They didn't inform me that they were going to replace the capacitor. They just did it before giving me a quote. The owner saw my original review which was harsh and we talked it through. He assured me this was a fluke and offered to put my old bad capacitor back on and refund my money.

I researched HVAC/ductwork companies THOUROUGHLY (about 9 estimates), due to the expense and importance of getting this done correctly. The reason I chose Rudd, was due to the integrity and attention to detail, expressed by Bill Rudd. It wasn't just "talk". I saw first hand, the meticulous process of Bill and his crew, and would definitely recommend Rudd Heating and Air.
