We?ve been with Rudd for a few years and they started out well, but recently it feels like every visit turns into a sales push. Today, technician Harley Cammack began by asking if we wanted him to share what he found, which seemed odd at the time. We agreed, expecting routine maintenance feedback as part of our annual service plan. Instead, it turned into a heavy ?doom and gloom? sales pitch? recommending multiple replacements, backup components, and ultimately suggesting we buy an entirely new system. We rely on HVAC professionals to help us stay ahead of issues, not to upsell everything possible. Being told our system suddenly needs major work, contrary to previous visits, and hearing claims like units only last 7?10 years, felt more like dealing with a salesperson than a technician. That?s not the kind of service we?re looking for. We?ll be looking for a new company that we can trust for next year!

They are very professional and very nice. They did a great job installing our new unit and now they do preventive care on our unit!

New to area.A/C shut down on a very hot Friday night.No one else would come except for Bill Rudd himself.Found need to replace Heat/AC system.Bill went back to shop and brought 2 window A/C's at no charge until his company could replace my unit.Job done very professionally.Explain all new thermostats and such.Made us feel they were doing their own home.

Everyone, from the office staff - technician - owner, that had anything to do with the work were outstanding. Bill (the owner) was first out to the house to make the initial contact and cover the main concerns and set up follow up contact. Hal (one of the technicians) came out in a timely manner and did a thorough inspection from the crawl space to the attic and anything connected to the HVAC unit. Hal found the problem that was wrong that other technicians (competitors) missed and was able to do the repairs very quickly. He also noticed other options that could be done and explained why and the benefits for doing the work. Michelle in the office was there to answer any questions and concerns that I had about the work being done. All were very professional , respectful and knowledgeable about their work and their cost are very reasonable. I highly recommend Rudd Heating and Air to anyone needing preventative maintenance or mayor work.

Responded in a timely manner. Bill was great in making sure we got the appropriate unit for our home. From purchasing the unit through the install everyone we dealt with was very professional and courteous.

My heat pump was old and had given me problems over the past two years. Enough was enough, and I was not tempting another breakdown during the sweltering southern summer. Rudd to the rescue. Dave came in at a price that was agreeable, met my timeline to install, and his crew was prompt, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. They did a great job. Hal came a few weeks later for a follow up and his thoroughness reconfirmed that I hired the right professional for my job. I highly recommend Rudd.

Hal is a great technician! He explained every detail and made sure I understood how to operate the WIFI thermostat before he left. He made a lot of good recommendations regarding service plans and I felt that he gave me great advice and service!

Diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it. Were very professional and courteous explaining everything along the way.

If all HVAC companies charge $60 for a service call, then for the person's time, change that rating to 5, though I think that's much too high. The problem was a snake had slithered into he wrong part in the outside unit. The service man found this unusual situation almost immediately and actually had the (outrageously priced) replacement part. He said he checked the rest of the unit. He did not waste a minute, reported all, was very professional and nice. One could not ask for more in a service man. One could ask for better pricing ($220) I think.

I had some problems with them but it was resolved by the company owner. They didn't inform me that they were going to replace the capacitor. They just did it before giving me a quote. The owner saw my original review which was harsh and we talked it through. He assured me this was a fluke and offered to put my old bad capacitor back on and refund my money.

Excellent work from start to finish. On time and always in full communication exceeding my expectations.

I researched HVAC/ductwork companies THOUROUGHLY (about 9 estimates), due to the expense and importance of getting this done correctly. The reason I chose Rudd, was due to the integrity and attention to detail, expressed by Bill Rudd. It wasn't just "talk". I saw first hand, the meticulous process of Bill and his crew, and would definitely recommend Rudd Heating and Air.
