Knowledgeable people. Customer service is piss poor, broke several appointments but finally got the job done.

I spoke with the owner at the beginning and set up the repairs to guard my vents and remove a bird nest in the attic. After 3 attempts to repair it, and constant calls to set up appointments, the job was done. They give me a pest control free in the attic for the delay.

Very customer oriented!! Found the problem and immediately took action to remediate the issue. One concern... whatever they sprayed to kill the odor lingered in my kitchen for over a month... not very pleasant.

I would find it difficult to recommend them to anyone

He took all the money and never came back to finish the job.

Don't use them. Unprofessional, gave run around, always something came up.

Giving wrong information. Lied. Over charged for the work. Never completed the work that was agreed too.

Came out on a Tuesday for consultation and finished the job the next day within 1 hour.

Beware- google Russ Pest before trusting Home Advisor. Russ Pest is a scam artist who will take your money and not complete the work.

Never hire them. They are layers.

I got a fast quote for taking care of bats behind my window shutter but after that, down hill. First of all, they charged my credit card for work done before it was started. The day they were supposed to come, they were a no show. I contacted the Ass't Mgr who initially said he was wondering what I was upset about. I told him I expected to be contacted if they could not come and I also mentioned the billing to my credit card before work was done. The Ass't Mgr said that was their business practice and I replied that it was not STANDARD business practice. They were supposed to come the next day and didn't but I did receive a call they would be be there the following Monday. The work crew apparently did come that Monday and replaced a bolt on one of my shutters. Apparently they did apply disinfectant because I could smell it. However, there were still bat droppings behind the primary shutter that the bats had been. I told the Assistant manager I have never received a copy of the final bill for the work. "Oh didn't I send that"? I'll be sure to email it. I mentioned it again as I never got the receipt and was told he'd have the secretary take care of it. I still don't have the receipt. The Assistant Manager was friendly but the business practice and organization is not good. I wouldn't recommend this company consequently. I used a spray washer on my hose and washed out the bat droppings myself today. Since I had to clean the droppings I'd say I did not get a good value for what I paid. I doubt I'll ever use Home Advisor again either.

Their price was actually higher than initial quotes on your high price prior to hiring

They take your money up front and never show up to do the job. I had to get someone else to do the job, because no one will answer the phone.

It has taken a week to respond to just get a receipt for a VA home inspection. I am very unhappy and home advisory should drop them like a hot potato. Horrible communication

I heard the critter raceway in my drop ceiling late on a Friday night at after 10 PM. Not know what exactly was up there I pleaded for quick service . Home Advisor connected me to four companies but Russ called at 7:30 AM on Saturday (figuring that I probably didn't want to be called at 2:30 AM when they were back in the office to receive the request). Brian and Kyle arrived at my home on Saturday morning to investigate. They determined an apparent rodent issue and the likely entry point. We purchased a 30-day plan to trap, block entrances, and clean. I have not heard anything since the service has been completed. Though if I do there is a guarantee. Brian who was the lead on my project was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Kyle who was likely in training was also pleasant and courteous. While I hope to never need Russ' services again, I will gladly call them again if I do.

Russ Pest Control is a fantastic company. They are very knowledgeable and I wouldn't hire anyone else to treat termites. It was nice that Kevin came out on a Sunday. He taught me a lot about termites that no one else taught me. Before you hire anyone to do pest control, I would call them first. You won't be disappointed.

Kevin and Brian were very thorough when examining the property for signs of rodent and insect infestation; I learned a lot about what to look for to spot such infestations. Kevin is quite knowledgeable and shares information with the homeowner. I mentioned to Kevin that I had read some less than positive reviews on sites other that Home Advisor. He addressed my concerns and most of the time customer service was great - messages returned, calls to let us know when they were running late, etc. Before I hired Russ Services, I questioned the owner about the negative reviews on Home Advisor. He explained the reviews away as being “difficult” or “demanding” customers and told me about many satisfied customers he has served. As he seemed quite knowledgeable, I decided to purchase his “Gold” plan for a year of service. I regret my decision: I have not seen anyone from this company since I paid the balance of the invoice, despite repeated attempts to have someone come out. . A few months after the initial treatment for mice, there was clear evidence that mice remain in the basement. I called twice in January - I received no response to the first call, then told to email my requests. I emailed in January, February, March, and April. In March, after months of no communication, I received an email that they would be back in the office mid-March. Again, no follow-up or visit. In April I was promised that someone would be by and to let them know whether Saturday or Sunday was better. I responded, but no one ever showed up. My follow-up email to that missed appointment was never acknowledged. Interestingly, my invoice included a clause that the balance was due within 7-10 days of majority of the work being completed and work was worthy of a “5 star rating”. I withheld the final check for a few days until most of the initial work was complete but once paid, customer service (which was inconsistent before I paid the balance) ceased to exist.

Russ termite and pest control provides excellent service. I spoke to the owener after some initial issues and he personally worked with me to resolve all issues. He provided exceptional customer service!! This is by far one of the best companies I have worked with and will continue to use. Thank you Russ!!

Be leery of them and giving your credit card number to them.
