Russel repaired a damage ceiling after a leak in our guest bedroom. He is not a professional. He caused severe damage to our hardwood floors as he does not pay attention or takes care of the belongings in the place where is working. He left the job during the weekend, and left the room in a mess full of wet insulation and pieces or wet ceiling wallboard over the weekend. I have asthma and we had to clean the mess he left us with as I could not breath. This was before he finished the job. After we complained about the damage to our floors, we waited over a month as he said he had no insurance and he had a friend who did floors. We provided the materials as we had spare floor boards, but his friend is not a professional hardwood floor installer. The portion of the hardwood floor has many glue spots. We found out he is a carpet cleaner professional not a hardwood floor installer. When we called today May 30 to complain to Russel about the floors, he told me to F*** Myself as he was very accommodating already. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT HIRE RUSSEL DWYER HANDYMAN. If we could give him negative stars as a review we would have done so.

"I try hard to be professional and not respond. Needless to say from my other countless glowing reviews this is riddled with lies. To keep it short, I could not have gone further out of my way, including paying for a floor that was not my responsibility, out of my own pocket just to have somebody try to damage my reputation. Unfortunately, out of the thousands of customers I've had, once in a while, you run into somebody trying to scam you. As was the case here. A hard lesson to learn, including ignoring signs of them screaming all types of various other companies while I was there, but still thinking I was good enough to please the unsatisfied"

The listing for Russell Dwyer says, "unlicensed" contractor however, you should not let that factor in to whether or not you hire him. Russell was professional, knowledgeable and his prices were very reasonable. I would hire him again and plan to for some other projects.

Mr. Dwyer helped me fix my backyard fence door that wasn't opening properly and my front door that was scraping when closing. He is friendly and gets right to work upon arriving. He did his best to find the solution to fix both doors and carried it out in a timely manner. I plan to hire him again for more projects in the future.
