Dakota bid to install gutters. He measured and gave me a price. The gutters were installed, but they did nothing to catch the rain; in fact, they made it worse by forcing rain down the side of the house. He also stated that the gutters could not be attached to the house as he had the incorrect curved adapters. He stated that they would come out and fix the issue. The installer came out and did something that was not completed; over 40% of the gutters still leak along the house instead of catching the rain and diverting it. Correct adapters were never installed. I was told, Well, it was this with the roof and the overhang. How would it be this much more? My job is not installing gutters; theirs is. When he made the bid, it was in person, and he saw the home and the roof but never factored that into the quote. They are supposed to be the experts who bid the work; I am not expected, as the customer, to know what is needed. My responsibility is to approve the work and pay for it. He has ghosted since he stated he would come back last Thursday, four days ago. WOULD NOT HIRE.
