Good people and do what they say there going to do. Also called me ahead of time on estimate with no hidden fees. Also called before they came to do the work. Communication!!! If you like communication this is your company

The entire SCC Asphalt crew did a great job from start to finish. Thank you for a job well done on a difficult terrain!

In February 2020, I hired SCC Asphalt to add an extension to my driveway to meet up with a garage that was being built. Within 48 hours of them completing the job, we noticed that the new driveway was cracking, crumbling, and had water pooling in the middle of the asphalt they laid down. I contacted them about the issues from the asphalt that they previously acknowledged was not done correctly. I was told they would have someone out to fix the asphalt the following week. After 3 months, several phone calls, text messages, and a lawyer letter later they finally come out to *repair* it. When they arrived, I was told that they would repair it, but I would not be happy with it. Their *repair* did more harm than good. Since they just put a new layer of asphalt on top of the crumbling asphalt instead of pulling it up and redoing it, it created a drainage issue and our garage now floods when it rains. I am having to hire another company to come out and fix the issue that SCC Asphalt created. I would not recommend this company at all.

in August 2019 4 of my neighbors and I hired SCC to pave our i/4 mile common drive and 2 private drives ( all one project). After the project was finished there were some immediate issues one major one was what is known a raveling (gravel separating from the tar base. A big section of this was infront of my house. The owner of the company said happens when the equipment is not hot enough to pave yet. He put some sand on the areas and said that the section should be seal coated at a cost of approx $600 to me. This drive was less than 24 hrs old. Told me that we could look at it again after a few months. Back to this later. In December we started to notice holes staring in the common drive as well as areas that were beginning to crack and you could see the ground below. We had owner out in Jan. and he saw problems (including raveling which by this time had become much worse drive covered in gravel). He said asphalt plants were shut down for clod weather would revisit when they started back up. Had him out again in March 18th and he said he would come by when he had a job in the area. In other words out $50k dollar job which was clearly substandard could wait until he was in the area for other jobs. Next contact was April 29 same results. Contacted him again on early June 4 th and he basically said might have a job in the area soon. Finally contacted him again on July 13 told him that my neighbors and I would like a meeting with him within 10 days to discuss issues and solutions and set a date for completion of the repairs. his response was that he would maybe come buy on Tuesday to do the repairs. We objected and said we wanted a meeting. On Tuesday he said that he would do the work that afternoon and we could meet afterwards. (all of this correspondence is in writing) Well he did come to do the repairs. He did what he thought would get by nothing more and only addressed half of the issues. He never spoke to anyone after he was done he just left. On Wed. July 15th we contacted the owner to express our dissatisfaction. No response as of yet. Sour grapes in a review are not effective so what my neighbors and I would like to do is invite anyone who is thinking about working with SCC Asphalt Surfaces to come and see our driveway and the work that they did. If you visit you can also see the "repairs". It is the best way you can see what your new driveway might look like. You will spend a lot of money on your project it will be worth the trip. If you are unable to make the trip we will have many photos available on social media under "Duckett Mill Paving", and on Nextdoor Little halls site. Regarding my raveling mess as of yesterday owner said that" it needs to be sealcoated , in fact the whole drive needs to be coated. Could he be of help?"

    Response from Company:

We tried to advise you not to do it the way you asked us to.. now you are unhappy... Sorry it worked out as it did.

The driveway is so thin in areas gravel showing through after job finished. Areas of the driveway are literally crumbling away. Repeated attempts to get guys back out to repair resulted in promises of *we will fix it when we are back in the area*. It has been almost a year, so we are now filing paperwork to take these guys to court. Do not use this company.
