When I first called to rent the dumpster I was told I could have it 14 days and I only had it 10 days. I kept trying to reach someone but to no avail, but in all the dumpster was a good size and very helpful.

DO NOT HIRE! SJS HAS NOT COMPLETED MY DRIVEWAY JOB SINCE NOVEMBER. I hired SJS to remove and install a concrete driveway. All was fine with driveway with the exception that they removed my 16 foot driveway and replaced it with a 14 foot driveway. The quote (in writing) for the $3,500 project was for a 16 foot driveway. After many, many promises to make this right, Sid has not taken care of this. He says he can't afford to do it, etc. I paid them cash at their request to do the job cheaper. This was stupid I know now. I'm putting my house up for sale and can't until this driveway is done.

"SJS Construction appreciates each and every review we receive. It is unfortunate that your experience with us was unsatisfactory. We have a policy that the ?Scope of work? cannot be changed after the job is done. It is true that the original bid was for a 16 foot driveway but it was approved and changed by Ms. Kay to 14 feet due to concern for the health of a tree. The driveway was completed to the specifications Kay S. and SJS Construction agreed to. It was only after the job was completed that Ms. Kay expressed she wanted to go back and add the other 2 feet to the driveway. Furthermore, we attempted to complete the job to her new (or original) specifications on two different occasions. The first occasion was rescheduled last minute due to a garage sale that was happening at the house and the second was canceled due to rain (concrete cannot be poured in rain). It was only after she threatened Sid by saying ?I?m going to make your life HELL? that we decided not to do any further work for her. We recognize and understand that this job did not produce a satisfied customer. We have made changes to our change order policies to ensure a situation like this never happens again. -SJS Construction"

The price was competitive and they worked in Saturday to get the job done before it rained. They used a wheel barrow to haul a yard of ncrete to avoid tearing up my yard. This made us very happy with their work.

They may be good for small projects, but they must have been out of their league on my project. They pulled an unnecessary portion of the roof off, did not adequately cover the open roof, subsequently several rooms got ruined (Wood floors, drywall, ceilings, etc.) Our original budget more than tripled due to the malfeasance of SJS Construction. If I thought I could get my money back, I would sue. Do your research, Sidney Fremin has done this to others before. I just found out too late.

In the construction industry there are many variations in how a job is structured in order to get the job done and everyone paid appropriately. The above project was what is referred to as a ?Cost +? job (Cost of materials and labor + a percentage). It is typically used when a homeowner wants to do the work themselves or with their own crew (in order to save money) but they need help with certain things. In the above stated case, SJS Construction was under no contract or agreement to do or complete any work. Mr. X (the homeowner) was the project manager and was directing laborers employed by SJS Construction to do as Mr. X advised. Mr. X advised the workers to LITERALLY remove a large section (almost half) of his home all at once. It is true that several rooms were damaged by the rain and that the home was not adequately covered, but ONLY because the homeowner was the lead on the project and the SJS Construction employees were not directed to adequately cover the structure. ?SJS Construction"

Installed concrete pad for a new structure we are building. Also installed a sidewalk from the structure to our back patio. They are coming back to finish the driveway out to the road once the permit is complete to fill in the ditch. Quality work and professional attitude. Fast work and price was right on the money. Would highly recommend.
