My daughter bought an older home in Sudden Valley Bellingham. The batt insulation in the underfloor in the crawl space was in terrible condition and the plastic sheeting covering the dirt was covered with rodent droppings. I contacted Jaime with Skagit Insulation and he replied very quickly and went to the house the next day and emailed a bid to remove and replace the insulation and the plastic ground cover. He included in the bid sealing all penetrations through the floor with foam insulation, wrapping the water lines with insulation, and fixing the crawl space access door where the rodents were getting into the crawl space. His bid seemed very fair for the work involved so I asked him to do the job. He came out the next week and did the job. He took before and after pictures that he emailed to me and the quality of the work looked excellent. I asked him how the job went and he told me that due to the difficult access to the crawl space (the access door is under a deck) it took an extra day to finish the job. I decided to pay him a bonus to help cover that extra labor cost and as appreciation for his prompt response and doing an excellent job in difficult working conditions. I don't live in the Bellingham area and have not inspected the job yet, but Jaime assured me that if there are any problems he will come back and take care of them. I highly recommend Skagit Insulation for there excellent customer service and high quality work.

After they completed the job and left I did an inspection. I found one small area not to my satisfaction. I contacted them explaining the discrepancy to which they returned within a couple days to correct the issue. They were very courteous and professional in all our interactions.

I'm building an accessory dwelling unit on a rental property so I am not on the job site all the time. All our communication was electronic. I gave them the address and they had a bid to me the next day. I had to reschedule them twice and they were extremely accommodating. The inspection passed the first time.
