Steve was very fast to respond to a request for an estimate and quickly completed the repairs. He came with a proposal on a weekend and the work was completed the next day. Their work is high quality. Steve was able to coordinate with a roofer as I needed a leak fixed too. I will hire him again.

Steve Dashiell is the owner and is very hands-on in his business and does great work at a very reasonable price. He meets his appointments and schedules on time and is very flexible when requested to upgrade the material or make small modifications in the scope of work, again at a reasonable cost.

Took 4 visits to complete job to cover 1/2 dollar size hole in wall but visits only took a few mins.

As everyone else has already said, Steve is terrific! The estimate was free, the price was very good and the work was completed as agreed and looks fantastic! Steve and his crew kept working through, took very few breaks and cleaned everything up at the end. Will definitely use S&M again!

We have owned our home for over 10 years and worked with multiple contractors. Steve was hands down the best contractor we worked with. We had to remodel our porch/sunroom which was badly constructed by our previous owner, and change the tiles in our bathrooms. The bathrooms had 4in tiles with a peach color. We talked to at least 5 different contractors, and finally decided to give the work to Steve. He was the one who gave us the impression that the work will be done right with our budget. He use the best materials, no maintenance railings, with soffit and sidings. The porch look absolutely professional and brand new, and we are sure that will add value to our house. For the bathroom tiles, some of the contractors said we can lay over the existing tiles. But Steve insisted that it has to be done right, and he has to remove the existing tiles. He did all of this with the same estimate that the others were giving. We looked at other reviews before we hired Steve, and they were absolutely right. It is very difficult to find someone like Steve these days. We hardly write reviews, but we knew we will not do justice to the work Steve did for us, if we did not write a review. Thank you Steve and we hope to work with you in the future.

Overlaid an entire ceiling 24x24 ft room plus a small textured ceiling repair in another room. Job reasonably priced, on schedule and on cost.

Great response and communication from beginning to end

I am a very hard rater, this guy (Steve) walks on water ! On time, cleans up everyday and finished on time, this is hard to find now-a-days. S&M construction is the real deal, like contractors were 25 years ago, they hung 12 sheets of drywall in the ceiling and relocated a light/ celling fan without missing a beat. Steve works hard and insures his work is right, he worked and treated my master bedroom as if it was his house, very pleased with his work !

Bid was most reasonable. Work was excellent. Always arrived on time and cleaned up before departing. Very friendly and would will not hesitate to use again.

I would hire them again and I have!

I was extremely impressed with the work that was done in repairing and conditioning my deck. I would recommend this group without hesitation.

Steve did a great job. He did it for about $300 less than his closest competitor. He always showed up when he said he would and arrived on time. We are requesting an estimate on another job from Steve.

The contractor provided a low-priced quote, however did not include everything that was discussed in this price. Ended up having to spend more than expected to get what we needed done. Didn't cover any of contents when doing drywall and painting so everything was dusty and there was large paint stains on carpeting and paint drips on counters and furniture. Contacted owner several times and he didn't return calls after he was paid in full. He did not make any attempt to rectify situation.
