Don't trust these guys. I should have known not to when they show up in sandals and ask to borrow my hose and ladder to do the work. They do not have the proper equipment. They are not licensed or insured. They showed up with nothing but a cheap harbor freight snake and a hose balloon. After running the balloon into my pipe, they got it stuck, and could not get it out. They ended up trying to pull it out by jerking on it with a truck which ended up stretching and breaking my water hose as well as collapsing the pipe. I found this out when I hired real plumbers to come in that checked out the damage with a camera. I had to pay to have my tiles removed and bust through the foundation in my kitchen and laundry room to replace the pipe. They ended up costing me over $2000 when I just needed a drain cleared. On top of that, they left cigarette and cigar butts in my yard, a hole on the other end of the house from trying to find another pipe, and mud tracks all through my house. He told me on the phone beforehand that he was licensed and insured, but after destroying my pipes, tells me how he used to be insured and how he was a master plumber all over the country 35 years ago. When I told him I did not want him back at my house, he tried to bill me for 4 hours. He was at my house for 2 hours, and only did 30 minutes of actual work. The other 1.5 hours was spent trying to pull his stuff out of my pipe. Do yourself a favor and pay the little bit of extra money to hire real professionals to do your work and save yourself tons of money and stress in the long run.

I was charged professional price with poor work not a professional plumber, I was not pleased at all. I still have the same leaks and out of a lot of money. I am still looking for a plumber.

Mike called within 60 seconds of my submission for an appointment. He and his assistant showed up early the next morning and got right to work. They were very pleasant people and fixed the problem. I highly recommend SMO for any and all plumbing projects. As my house is very old, I will be calling them for future projects!

They do not have the proper equipment to drain. They only had a small snake to go in drain line and it was only 50 ft long; then they put the balloon in the drain line. They did not even have a probe to find pipes or septic tank. If your job is at a small residence, they may be able to help but if you have over 1500 sq feet, they probably will not be able to help you. There is two people but only one works. And, the charge is 70 per hour and nothing is guaranteed or fixed at the end of the day.

Tell them what you need and want. Talking with them when they or working makes the bill higher.
