Southern Comfort Air, Heating, & Plumbing -

This company was subcontracted by the company renovating our home. Because we're not a/c savvy, we didn't find out how bad they ruined our heating & a/c. They were hired to move the unit in the attic. Well, they moved it, cut the a/c drain pipe which leaked into the ceiling and caused us to have to get that fixed. Then, thanks to our insulation guy, we found that they didn't even connect the return vent duct; not even close. It was six inches from the connection. Then, out of the 4 bedrooms we have, they only connected the duct to one bedroom; so there was no heat or a/c in three of those four rooms. And they said the job was done.

He does several things for us, installed new air conditioning, and has also done service repairs and maintenance work. He is very trustworthy and does a great job!

Rep. Steve promptly called me and gave rest. On the work I think I need done. He told me what would need to be done. When I'm ready to have the work done he will get my job.

I put in the request for a quote around 1am, got a phone call from Steve at 7am. I explained the problem, what we had done to troubleshoot it, and he said he could be here at 8:30. He was on time, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was able to fix the issue within a couple of hours, and we paid exactly the price he quoted us. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely use his services again!

Mr. Matlock was the most professional and kindness technician I have encountered since using Home Advisor. I was immobile with a broken ankle and he was patient and very thorough without my having to watch him. I was very pleased to meet him and to give him a top-notch rating.

Good people. Called on Friday. They came on Monday, started the repair/replacement on Tuesday and was finished on Wednesday. Couldn't ask for anything better than that.

This is the 2nd time I have used Southern Comfort. The first time I gave a 5 star review, top to bottom. Highly recommend. The 2nd time I would give a 2 1/2 to 3 stars. The owner came out the first time, but either he s really busy, business has grown, or a lot of 5 star ratings has resulted in too much business because he sent someone this time. Nice guy, but price was definitely a lot higher than the first time, per hour. I don t know that they are any better or worse than anyone else...presently.

Had both units go out downstairs. Steve Matlock called within 15 minutes of my Home Advisor request. He showed up early the next morning, and had both units replaced before 5pm. Another company had given us the run around, and said they could come back in 6 days. Southern Comfort is a local gem!

Steve was prompt in giving us estimate and worked with us to get the right A/C within our budget

The technicians were timely and worked quickly to fix the problem. Although they encountered more problems than we were able to get fixed this time around, we have quotes from them to finish it at a later date. I was pleased!

They were simply awesome. Steve Matlock and his other technician were prompt, friendly and had my issue resolved in 15 minutes. And this was after another company had come out and quoted me over $700 to replace my 'bad control board'. Turns out this other company's tech did not plug the board back into the system - or possibly unplugged it deliberately. Their customer oriented attitude and excellent service have made us customers for life. Best service and value by far. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Very personable business man that evaluated and shared all options. Wasn't focused on up selling efficiency. Went above and beyond to ensure my comfort even when I experienced an issue with another unit in my house.
