It started out as side project to make extra money, but turned into something I am very passionate about, I love my work and pride myself on my excellent quality. I've built everything; decks, new houses, siding ( vinyl-cedar-clapoards) bathrooms (remodels/new) finished basement, structural supports, flooring, painting, full kitchen remodels. I am organized and keep a very clean work space. I believe in fair pricing and have wonderful communication with my clients. I enjoy explaining the ins and outs of a project so my clients know exactly what they are paying for. No job is too small or too big. Also I have an architect and designer in my firm so I can take your project from design to permitting to completion. Allow my company to do all the work for you.

Working with this company has been an absolute pleasure, especially being in a home built in the1800?s it truly does take a skilled crew to be able to work on the house. The job was done quickly and professionally, they always stayed in contact with me through the whole process even asking if it was okay to work on a Sunday to keep on schedule. The craftsmanship and attention to detail actually far exceeded what I ever thought would be done. I have rehired them for a large spring project with other projects behind that I?m excited to work with them on. If you?re looking for a company with integrity, skill, and honesty I would never recommended anyone but them. I am truly looking forward to working with them again in the near future

I hired Kevin Martin (H. Hedges Home Improvement) to build a new deck, replace a bathroom floor, and repair kitchen cabinetry. Kevin's quote was very competitive and fair. He and his crew showed up exactly when they said they would. He was very collaborative and his communication throughout the project was excellent. It is clear that he wants his customers to be happy at the end of the day. Our HOA also hired Kevin to replace fencing for a 14 unit association and build a new enclosure for a dumpster. Again, his bids were fair and competitive and he performed quality work. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

1. Repaired and renovated, garage and 2nd story screen porch facades, including replacement of joists, plywood, and careful waterproofing/sealing of walls, windows and trims.
2. Built awning/roof above garage door to include copper roof detail.
3. Remodeled interior screen porch wall with wainscoting and baseboard to create a more custom look.

Kevin built us a custom storage shed, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. It looks amazing—so much so that neighbors have actually stopped to compliment it! I’m pretty picky about details, and this definitely met my expectations. Kevin is honest, easy to work with, and clearly knows his stuff. There were a couple of small bump: his invoices were a bit hard to follow and getting him back to wrap up the final touches took a little extra effort, but in the end the shed is fantastic and I am very satisfied. I’d definitely recommend Kevin to anyone looking for quality custom work.

Kevin’s work is excellent. The deck and new deck lighting turned out more beautiful than we envisioned. Kevin worked with our vision and executed it with professionalism and detailed work. He is conscientious and even after the job was completed, he is prompt in responding to issues and came back to adjust the lights right away. Have utilized Kevin’s varied services on a somewhat regular basis over the past few years. During that period, in addition to performing general yard cleanups and smaller tree cutting/trimming tasks, Kevin and his team have installed a sizable stockade fence along the rear perimeter of our property, constructed an enclosed, wood and wire vegetable garden, designed/built a distinctive, multi-use pergola with abutting retaining wall feature in our backyard and handled numerous repairs and enhancements to our outdoor deck, front porch and various doors. Kevin has proven to be personable, diligent, receptive to ideas/project adjustments and quite reasonable/practical with respect to his pricing. My wife and I have been very pleased with Kevin’s work to this point and fully intend to use him again going forward.

I highly recommend Kevin Martin and his company, Hegel's Hedges. We recently employed them to build a deck, replace a bathroom floor and install a new toilet, and repair a kitchen cabinet. Kevin's quote was very reasonable and all work was done in a timely manner and exceeded our expectations. In addition, our homeowner's association employed Kevin's company to build a new dumpster enclosure and replace fencing for our 14 unit condominium complex. Kevin's bid was by far the most reasonable of the three bids that we solicited. In my experience as an HOA board member and private client, Kevin and his team show up exactly when promised and work very efficiently. I can recommend Kevin and his company without hesitation.
